This is such a wonderful story that leaves you wanting more. I loved every minute of watching Brian's masks slip away as he accepted his love and appreciation for Justin. It was also great seeing Brian discover he had members of his own family looking out for him. His Aunt and Uncle just accepted him no questions asked, and they respected Brian and Justin as a couple. So much happens in this story that I believe makes Brian and Justin into the couple they were meant to be - SunshineSally
An AU season 3 post-finale story.
I like how the author explores a different, softer, more openly emotional side of Brian after he's had an accident. Plus, LOTS of good sex scenes. LOL - Tagsit
It’s all gone in just moments; your life changes and there’s no going back. You’re no longer the person you thought you were; and you have no idea who you’ll become.
This is a beautifully written story set in 1944, featuring Brian and Justin as gay soldiers in WWII serving in occupied France. One of my favorite stories from this amazing author - Lorie
It is the Winter of 1944 in occupied France. The allies have landed and slowly, so slowly, made their attempt to push to the borders of Germany. Sergeant Brian Kinney is too busy trying to keep his men alive and do his duty to worry about anything else, much less a personal life. Everything changes one day when one of his men, recently killed in an ambush, is replaced with a raw new recruit, Private Justin Taylor. The kid looks like he's barely out of High School and totally wet behind the ears. The Sarge is not happy, especially when without warning Sergeant Kinney finds himself fighting a different kind of war than the one on the battlefield.
I am dedicating this story to my late father who served bravely and honorably in WWII and the Vietnam War. I am also dedicating this story to all the GLBT men and women who also served with honor, but in silence throughout history. Many thanks go to the amazing Eka for her brilliant banner and to my friend Pat for her beta skills.
It's a different twist on how B/J met and the differences that follow. It's interesting how just one little change impacts the rest... -samcdee
On that fateful night when Justin stood under the lamppost and Brian took him home, what would have happened to them if events had not unfolded the way they did on the show?
Even though they have their ups and downs, Brian and Justin always find their way back to each other. They are ready to take on the world! -mamaduck
Sequel to Time's Up Volume I: It's Only Time
After ten years, Brian and Justin are still meeting in secret. Now one is ready to make things permanent while the other...Hmm- not so much. It will ultimately come down to hard choices, sacrifices and what's more important: everlasting love or freedom? And how will secret and not-so-secret enemies affect their decision?
This story puts such a smile on my face. It's happy, It's sad, it's beautifully written and most of all, IT MAKES ME FEEL THINGS! -SunshineSally
Justin loses his memory after the bashing. Can Brian help him get it back?
Timeline: 4 years post-513. This is a Season 5 AU series fic.
Lyrics taken from "I Don't Know When, But A Day's Gonna Come" by Bright Eyes.
I chose this story because it is not your typical Brian and Justin story. Also it deals with a subject that is very important to me. I lost a friend due to the lack of a donor -Lorie
Life has always been a constant struggle for eighteen year-old Justin Taylor, until one fateful day at the diner when he meets the man known as the Stud of Liberty Avenue, Brian Kinney. Both of their lives are changed forever in a way that neither of them ever anticipated.
I'm picking this story because... damn! Well written, well thought, great characterization. I loved it from the the very first chapter - Saje
This begins the actual series (predicated by Embark and Framed) and was published from 2005-2015. It's post-Season 5, the final season of the show. There are 48 chapters after the prologue. When this scene starts, Brian is looking back...
This story is a true piss you off, make you cry, all emotion, encompassing tale that will leave you satisfied by the end. -Jazzepoet
As we know from the show, Brian promises Justin a week-long vacation in Vermont but instead ends up going to Chicago to win the Brown Athletics account and save his job. Feeling hurt and betrayed, Justin goes snowboarding at Sugarbush Resort without his "boyfriend." Fuck him! But then Brian shows up in the middle of the night and their griping eventually leads to seriously hot make-up sex. Unfortunately, Brian's condoms are not designed to accommodate an impressive cock like Justin's. Breakage is all but inevitable. What happens when it actually occurs? (Considering the fact that the tags say "mpreg," I'm willing to guess that Brian gets pregnant.)
Also, can Brian snowboard without lessons?? What about give birth? Read and find out.
Believe it or not, despite being an mpreg fic, this story is not schmoopy (at all), and Brian and Justin are not OoC. Go, me!
I choose this story because it has drama, intrigue, humor, sex... all the things which allow me to settle and suspend my reality for a good long while. Anytime I'm ready to bite folks for disturbing me while reading... well you KNOW that's a great read! -Nichelle Wellesley
Sequel to The Buzz of the Wasp.
Luther gathers enemies of Brian, Justin, and Zee... yes, including those two... to seek revenge for his humiliation. He thinks he's got game, he is so very wrong!
This is one of the sexiest Brian/Justin stories in the fandom, hands down! The boys prove that they can communicate beautifully with no words. It's totally worth a read - charming1
Brian and Justin decide that words are overrated...
Love this long and angsty series. It's a great post-513 read from an author that deserves a lot more attention - Tagsit
Brian uses his pain management techniques, but do they still work?
I chose this particular story because of the amount of detail and depth involved. The original characters that are introduced add intrigue and charm to an already compelling tale - Jazzepoet
Brian and Justin meet in New York city, in 2005. Brian is an ad exec and Justin is an intern for Brian's company.
The reason I picked Summer Of Sin for my admin pick is partly because it is so well written and the other reason is that the amazing Tagsit invited readers to come watch her write and maybe join in. I was curious, so I started watching her write. Then she would chat with those of us that had joined in getting ideas and suggestions. At one point she asked me why I didn't write my own stories, I said because I couldn't. She gave me the encouragement to try and now I love writing. Through her I have met some really great people. Enjoy the Summer Of Sin - Lorie
Brian, who’s in need of money with which to start his own ad agency, takes Ted up on a chance to appear as a contestant in a reality show the ‘Internet Porn King’ is producing on his website. The only catch is that all the participants will be naked for the duration of the competition. Brian Kinney doesn’t think being confined to a house full of naked, horny men for the Summer will be difficult, but is he really ready for the challenges he’ll face in this lustful and raunchy game? What if one of the challenges is a very young and very inexperienced Justin Taylor? Let the games begin!
*****STORY IS NOW COMPLETE - ENJOY!*****
The reason I recommend 'Betrayal' by Julesmonster is not only because it's so well written, creating a wonderfully detailed AU world, but also because these characters are so much more mature and (in some respects) real than the ones we saw in the show. By keeping their relationship out of the view of the Family, both Brian and Justin had time to grow and change and become the people we want to see them as. It's a wonderful read and the fact that it's part of a nice long series will keep you entertained for many fanfic-filled nights. Enjoy! - TAG
Everyone thinks Brian and Justin broke up after the attack at the Prom. What happens when they find out that Justin never was out of the picture? And what have he and Brian been up to in the meantime? Some Michael bashing...
STORY #1 of the Perfidy Series
I thought this story was very different from anything I'd read before. Very well written and could have easily been in the show. -SunshineSally
This was written immediately after S3 ended. It's canon friendly and deals with the aftermath of Stockwell's defeat and Brian's financial situation.
I chose this story as it is a "what if" that continues the story of Brian and Justin after Season 5. Starlight is an author that pulls you into a story by the third paragraph and takes you on a wild ride. There's angst, humor and drama that has you cheering and yelling in disgust in the same chapter. She has this writing style that keeps you wanting more every chapter she writes - mamaduck
Brian and Justin decide it's time to have kids.
I am a sucker for "Brian in Peril" stories and this is one of the best I've read. The author does a great job dissecting Brian's complex mind. Phenomenal writing, interesting premise, and a satisfying ending. Can't ask for much more! -charming1
After Justin leaves for New York, the remaining members of the Liberty Avenue family go about their everyday lives, never suspecting that something serious is happening to Brian. When the realization hits, they find that everyone's lives are irrevocably altered.
I love the supernatural twist to the Brian and Justin romance. Very different from other stories and it's well written and entertaining to read. - samcdee
Justin moves into a new loft apartment in preparation for starting his first term at PIFA. Upon arrival, he finds a “Welcome Letter” from his new landlord, Brian Kinney. But, when he goes to respond, odd things start to happen. Can these two men reach across time itself to realize their love? (Loosely based on the plot of Alejandro Aresti's The Lakehouse - one of my all-time favorite movies.)
