It's great that Gus is helping in the kitchen; maybe will he develop an interest in food and cooking: never too late to be autonomous. Disarming his interest in coming living with them will be tricky though.

I think Gus senses the subliminal messages that Mel and Linds are sending him regarding his father's desire to be with him once the baby is born. He is trying to protect himself.
