I really don't know how to feel about this. Why say yes then take it back? Justin talks about not wanting to act impulsively, but here he's done just that. Maybe....I don't know....I'll keep reading, maybe my perception will change. I hope I've not offended you.

You haven't offended me.
Look it this way: a person who has been impulsive for twenty-one years can't suddenpy from one day to the other change. It takes time. And in a way he is doing that, Brian is just very good at convincing him into doing stuff his way. And it isn't impylsive to do stuff they are both comfortable with. Impulsive would have been acwpting the proposal and planing a wedding right after he almost died, like in the show. For that they aren't ready and tried to do something out of fear.
