Oh, this is so heartbreaking, hurts so much. But I have seen "the lake house" and so there is still hope... Some things I don't understand so far. Justin in 2001 could have recognize Michael at the diner? Michael could have recognize the bracelet? But again... This is such a great story, I love it. Thanks!

Gut wrenching chapter, as hard to read as to watch in the movie. I can see this scene without crying (same for the last scene).
Justin's decision to ask Brian not to write him anymore is so painful.

Tears! He didn't show because he couldn't... Because it was bashed at the prom... But I still don't believe he's dead, maybe they both have brain damage... How am I doing?

Question... the non-dinner at El Mare was December 31st, 2001, yet Justin writes on January 1st, 2000, that Brian hadn't shown up, and that "it didn't work."
Is this just a typo, or perhaps another quirk in the timeline necessary for plot development?
