Hi! So, this wasn't as hard to read as I thought! Amazing chapter, fantastic writing-style and again, I love how you pictured those characters and how you let them react. I don't know, maybe if the show would had been continued, Michael wouldn't be as bad as you characterized him, but who cares! I love stories in which Michael is characterized a bit or very exaggerated. And thank you for finally letting Brian tell Michael how it's really like ... that he loves or loved Justin, that Justin was his partner and nothing else, no blond boy ass, no boy toy or anythng else ... And thanks especially for this "He is not YOU". It was all overdue. If I remember correctly, in the show Brian has actually only once really put Michael in his place (at the garden party in S3). And with all the hateful things Michael says not only about Justin but also about the baby, Brian finally realizes, that there's no friendship left. It must be somehow painful for Brian, but thanks for that! Well, now only "one best friend" remains ... I'm curious...

And I'm really happy for Brian that at least Ted is there for him and that there's a real developing friendship between them. They both deserve that! Warmest regards!!!

Author's Response:

Awww, thanks for your kind words - I really appreciate them :)

As I have never really liked Michael on the show, it was very easy for me to portray him this way. Of course I don't think he would have turned out that bad on the show, but I had my fun going with it and giving him what I felt like he had coming for years...

I really wish Brian would have stood up more for himself when it came to Michael, but I guess due to his past he was too scared of losing his "best friend" to risk really speaking out. After all he was the one who made the first step after the garden party when in my opinion it should have really been Michael. Yes, Brian hit him, but after what Michael had said there to him that day, he would have been dead to me... He should have apologised to Brian instead of the other way round. In my opinion (and I am totally against violence!) that punch was more than deserved and he got off way too easy for that :(

We'll see about the other best friend soon ;)

I just love Ted - can't help it :D

Fantastic chapter.  I have always believed that we should not hate, dislike yes, but hate no.  However, in the case of Michael, I absolutely hate that person he is.  That is a sign that your writing is great making the readers feel the emotions that some stories do not bring out. If he is a friend, heaven help those he doesn't like such as Justin.

Author's Response:

I am glad you liked it :)

I have to admit that I was never much of a fan of Michael, so it was pretty easy for me to portray him like that ;)

And I agree - with a friend like him, who needs enemies, right?

Tough chapter as it's the end of an era, but there is a first that is changing Brian's mood. Ted is amazing here.

Author's Response:

Yes, it is the end of an era - that's for sure :(

And Ted is a really good friend - a friend that Brian really needs right now!
