Hi! Oh goodness! What a crazy scenario! I'm feeling so sad for Brian and for what he has to endure getting through this whole situation by being betrayed in the worst way by two people he'd trusted. As I said before, it's tragic how both, Brian and Justin had to experience the same feelings of pain and being hurt by people they loved and trusted. Back to Brian. It must have nearly driven him crazy to go through this, but from a neutral point of view it's understandable how the officials behave. First, they have to protect the child and everything could be faked. So it's understandable that they have to take this DNA-test. Brian (an we all) can be happy that Michael is really just a pathetic idiot and in no way clever at all. If he just would have a little brain inside his head, than he could have played Brian, he could have manipulated and outsmarted him, but not Michael. Opposite to Lindsay, he seems to really believe the bullshit that he tells. As, I said, lucky Brian. If Michael could make Brian stay a little longer ... Terrible. I do not want to imagine it... Lindsay... I don't know... How crazy is she? And as I don't quite understand ... What did she want to achieve with it? If she can't have Brian, then at least Luke? And I'm still curious about Mel. I can't imagine Mel knowing anything about this crazy shit... And i'm really happy for Brian, that they allowed Blake and Ted to take Luke back to Britin. This way, Brian is at least able to be with him until everything is cleared and proved. So exciting and again, very well written. Thanks again for these two amazing stories! Warmest regards!

Author's Response:

Yes, I felt pretty bad for Brian too when I wrote this. I am evil and I am putting him and Justin through a lot in these two stories :/

Yes, Luke's safety is the highest priority in all of this and while it's statement against statement with wild claims of forged passports and papers, the only thing to really prove Luke's parentage once and for all is a DNA test.

Yes, thank God, Michael is an idiot and doesn't know how to play Brian. It really wouldn't have been that hard to pretend that he actually had changed and cared about Brian to keep him at the diner longer. But, we should be thankful that Michael is an idiot, at least that way Lindsay's plan didn't work. As for Michael - he will get what he deserves! Soon!

As for Lindsay: She probably won't see anything wrong in her behaviour. She will probably claim that Brian never wanted a child and she was only making sure that Luke would get to grow up with his brother and in a loving home. She probably thinks she was genuinely doing a good thing. And what better to keep the bank of Kinney open than her taking care of both of his children?

Mel... we'll hear from her soon and we'll find out soon what she knew and if she knew anything at all. Now that the shit has hit the fan, there is no way she won't get involved as well.

Blake and Ted - true friends in more ways than one :)

Thanks for your comment - I loved it as always :) More will be up soon!

Thanks for answering my review. You stated Lindsay would agree to stay in Pittsburgh for further questioning. Lindsay knows she's at fault, and in the wrong. Why would she risk staying in Pittsburgh, when she knows how much trouble she will be in? Wouldn't she try to get away as far as possible? And now her travel time is that much longer. Who is staying with Gus and JR while Mel works?

Sorry to be so pesky... Cathy

Author's Response:

The thing is: We don't know how far gone Lindsay is in her delusions. How much of her own story does she really believe by this point? Maybe she also thinks that some tears will get her out of her troubles. Or maybe she thinks mommy and daddy will come to the rescue. At this point in time, we just don't know what Lindsay is thinking. All we know is that her fleeing would have immediately proven her guilt which is not how she works... She will most likely see nothing wrong in her behaviour, after all she was just trying to help her best friend get the life he has always wanted. Or so she will claim...

As for Mel - we will find out soon if she knew anything about this and if yes, how much. We'll meet her soon!

You're not pesky :P Feel free to ask whatever you want to know. Just sometimes I won't answer as I will not spoil ;) I am evil that way!

Wow, the unmidigated gal.  Surely they realize the DNA test will prove that they are lying.  What does Mel know about all this?

Author's Response:

Maybe they are too far gone in their delusions to care... Who knows?

As for Mel - we'll find out soon!

Yay it's Wednesday! I could hardly await for this update! Oh... I was so on edge reading this.

How come Michael can give testemony that Lindsay is Luke's mother, and it didn't seem to matter when Ted had not only the birth certificate, but the copy of the hospital bill. They could have collaborated that with a call to his doctor and hospital. Also, he had Carl, a Pittsburgh PD detective, collaborating his story. Then, they had Brian's lawyer calling... I don't know. Just don't make much sense. They seem to be picking sides. Not right in my book. Where will Lindsay have to stay during this? Aren't they worried she'll head back to Canada?

So, not only will Lindsay be brought charges for kidnapping an infant to another country, but it is a serious federal crime to lie to a FBI agent, commiting perjury. (I looked it up :)  Anyway, even if Michael didn't admit to Brian that he knew of Lindsay's plans, he would get in a lot of trouble anyway. Can they prove Mel wasn't involved in this? Lindsay must be shitting in her pants when she had to take a DNA test. We should of heard from her and Michael during this. It will be interesting to hear Deb's POV.

We are in Hurricane weather right now. So, I was glad this chapter came out before we have the possibility to lose power. Anxiously waiting for Sunday.

Hugs, Cathy

Author's Response:

As Carl explained to Brian, Lindsay claimed that the birth certificate and the hospital bill have been forged and aren't real. Who is to stop her from claiming that the doctor might have been paid off by Brian to support his story?

In the end it's word against word and both sides claim to have witnesses to support their stories, so the only way for the FBI to figure out without a doubt who Luke belongs to is the DNA test.

The FBI is not picking sides, they are just covering all bases by having the DNA test.

As for Lindsay: Much like Brian she had to agree that she wouldn't leave the state and would be available for further questioning.

And yes, perjury will be another crime that will be added to her list of crimes and it won't be the only one along with the kidnapping :/

We will find out about Debbie and how she'll react to all of this soon :/

I hope you'll make it through the Hurricane alright. I used to live in Florida and lived through several category 5 hurricanes during my time there. I feel your pain and hope you'll all be alright and make it through this in one piece!

Hope to see you on Sunday :D

Pretty tragic and infuriating! What a bitch!

If Michael could be witness for Lindsey, why couldn't Carl, Ted, Blake be witness for Brian? Carl is a cop, so his statement should have more weight than Michael's. What about the surgeon who gave birth?

Author's Response:

A bitch indeed...

Ted, Blake and Carl gave testimony in support of Brian, but as Carl explained to Brian: He might be a cop, but his word doesn't hold much weight in an FBI investigation. Lindsay accused Brian of having forged the hospital bill and the birth certificate for Luke. What would stop her from claiming that the doctor or Carl have been paid off by Brian to support his point of view?

What will stop her from claiming that Ted as Brian's employee has been paid off as well?

The DNA test is really the only way for the FBI to go in this investigation to prove without a doubt who Luke belongs to as right now it's word against word and both sides claim to have supporting witnesses and accuse the other side of lying :(
