Just a question to  aglaja5.  I read your review on the film you made. Is it available on youtube? I checked youtube under your user name, and couldn't find anything like this. If you haven't, have you ever considered broadcasting it? I for one, would EXTREMELY enjoy viewing it, and I'm sure there are many others...

Hi again! Yeah, took me some time to create this film, but it wasn't hard work, it was a pleasure :-) And through this, I saw the show for the second time. And yeah, I've somehow to agree, there are some scenes of the others which I really liked, for example Emmett and Drew are very hot together or Blake and Ted, but to be honest, there are also lots of scenes which I don't want to see again like for example scenes with Lindsay and sam Auerbach. But I loved the whole show, because it covers just so much problems and things regardings gay people. And I have the show on tape, so I can see the whole thing again if I want, but I wanted to have also just the Justin-Brian-moments. :-)

So, this chapter. Again, what can I say. Great writing-style and I'm glad that it seems to be getting better for Brian. Slowly, but nevertheless in the right direction. Have I understand you right, this was only a first hearing regarding the visitations, the real custody fight still has to come? I'm a little bit afraid for Gus. I imagine Mel can't handle these visits well, leaving out her frustration and annoyance to Gus. I hope she isn't angry or mean to him. But I can't really imagine that she will ask him after such a weekend with his Daddy if he had a great time. Poor guy. I want to hug him. But there's a good reason why Brian finally gets sole custody

The two pathetic idiots... What were they thinking? their attorney didn't seem to be well prepared. After all, it's normal to sit down with your lawyer or defense attorney and develop a strategy? The two don't seem to have done this at all. It almost seems as if they still haven't grasped the seriousness of the situation. Just like Deb ... Geez, how pathetic. I'm really curious how the two will behave in witness stand... Looking so much forward to Sunday! Warmest regards!

Author's Response:

Well, it does indeed sound like a fun project :D

No, this was not the final custody battle that was mentioned in Back for Good. That is still to come. For now Brian has won his right to visitation with Gus, but at some point in the future something is going to change that. I won't spoil what or how, but you're going to see soon how Brian got sole custody of Gus.

Poor Gus - yes, he deserves hugs! Lots of them. I have put him through so much in this story. I felt soooo bad for him. Poor guy :(

The sad thing is that Lindsay and Michael probably sat down with their lawyer and this is the strategy they came up with. Lets not forget that they consider this the one and only truth when it comes to Brian Kinney :/

We'll see the two dumb idiots on the witness stand in the next chapter :)

See you on Sunday!

Very Happy It's Wednesday! (Okay, got that right this week!) I think I was incensed after reading the chapter last week, I lost track of the day! :)

Anyway... I saw in your comment to my "What I would like to see in this story" review, that you had already completed it. I really did forget that. When I went back and checked, I saw the comment under the first chapter. So, sorry about that. I really stuck my foot in my mouth with that move.

I found it a little strange that the lawyer hadn't interviewed Carl regarding the custody case. Surely that would have held a lot of weight with the judge, being Carl was a detective with the Pittsburgh PD. And, even if Debbie would have disapproved... too bad. Carl apparently had no trouble dissing her in the courtroom. I wasn't surprised by Debbie shaking her head furiously while hearing about Michael's involvement in the whole kidnapping. What did she think, everyone was making it up? Has she, herself, heard the recording? Or, will that come with Michael's testimony on the witness stand?

Happy to see the trial has started, and that we got through Brian's testimony. I'm VERY excited to see Lindsay and Michael on the witness stand, being torn apart by the DA. I wonder how they will be perceived by the judge and  jury upon hearing their lame ass excuses. Why not just have a court appointed lawyer instead of paying for an inept, wet-behind-the-ears attorney?

Melanie... hmm.  I'm hoping she is not neglecting Gus. It would be a classic move with how much she hates Brian. And changing so drastically? It's all just too strange. Will we get to be in the courtroom for the custody trial? Will Lindsay's rights be stripped as well?

Then there's that Awesome friend, Ted again... making sure Brian gets time with Gus, even though that schedule has to be tiresome and wearing on him, let alone cutting in his time he could be spending with Blake. True friendship is so hard to come by sometimes.

Thanks so much for this chapter. I'm so very much enjoying this story. I have it listed as one of my favorites. Looking forward to Sunday, and more courtroom drama.

XOXO ~ Cathy

Author's Response:

Haha, it happens to the best of us ;) But yes, this time you got the day right!

No, don't worry! Please, you didn't put your foot in your mouth. As I've said before: I like reading what other people think and what kind of ideas they have. I really do! And I really liked reading your thoughts :)

As for Carl not testifying for the custody case: With Brian and Debbie being estranged at the moment, there isn't much contact with Carl. I am sure if Brian or his lawyer would have asked him, he would have testified for Brian without hesitation, but I guess his lawyer felt confident enough with what he already had on his side even without Carl giving a testimony.

Debbie knows that Michael himself admitted to his crime on the recording, but in typical Debbie fashion she probably waved it all away with an "He didn't mean it" - we know how she can be. However, we'll hear more from her soon!

We'll get to their testimonies soon - I hope you won't be disappointed!

As for the lawyer, who knows what they were thinking there? Maybe they thought it would look better if they could make it seem like they had money to pay for their own attorney? God knows how their brains work at times ;)

There will be more on the custody case later on in the story - don't worry!

I just love Ted - he is amazing! A true friend through and through.

I am glad you're enjoying this story - it makes me so happy to think that there are people who enjoy what I have written :D

More will be up on Sunday! See you then :)

I imagine that Ted is disappointed in Melanie as much as we are.  Bringing up Brian's past is a low blow.  Everything considered Mike and Linz have no hope.

Author's Response:

Yes, he is :( He can't understand why his friend has changed so much.

Totally agree about Michael and Lindsay!

More will be up soon :)
