Oh, Brian. I want to hug him, it's going to be okay.

Is this rock bottom? Shit, I hope so because this was painful. Poor Brian. TAG

Author's Response:

This story has a lot of twists and turns... and that's about all I can say about that.

Oh Brian.  Glad he had enough mind to call Michael. But Brian is sick - probably a UTI and needs medical attention.  Just loving this story and you are doing such a great job of writing all the emotions and scenes.

Author's Response:

Thank you <3 I appreciate that! I'm glad you're loving it!

OMG poor Brian, what a predicament! Okay, I have to ask, why didn't he just ask Jennifer what they talking about, it's not like they aren't close? And why didn't he tell her about his concerns with Justin's memory? And since Brian was already at the hospital, why didn't he tell someone of his pain, they could've probably given him something. I know this particular hospital stay isn't about Brian but still, after all these years, he must have learned how to ask for help a little. Obviously, he's sick with a fever at least, not to mention his pain. Oh my goodness, the poor guy, he thinks his world is crashing around him again.

Author's Response:

I know, it's an intense one -- the "hurt" part of hurt/comfort, cranked up to full blast for sure. Jennifer and Justin actually weren't even talking about Brian at the time. It's not even important what they were talking about. :) As for asking about his own pain...if you're not the one being treated and they're not your doctors, unfortunately I'm not sure it's quite that easy. And when it's neuropathic pain, that gets more complicated because it's very hard to treat and often things don't work. This chapter is also a turning point though -- things are starting to demand to be dealt with.

Whoa, what a mess! What a Christmas! It started quite well, but the end is so depressing. Maybe Brian will finally take care of his health, even if he is not willing to do so. With Justin not remembering their life together, I don't see how he will be motivated.

Author's Response:

Yes, this chapter is very, very intense. It's a turning point. Things that have been building for a while are coming to a head now and demanding to be dealt with and not put off for any longer. The full extent of Justin's memory loss is not yet clear...Brian's perception is very much skewed by his own mental state.

Is Mikey the right person to call for help?  Wouldn't Ben be a better choice.  Looks like Justin's lost some years memories.

Author's Response:

The extent of Justin's memory issues are not yet clear, but they will be before too much longer, I think. Brian doesn't have the history with Ben that he has with Michael...although yeah, Ben would make sense too. I'm just not sure Brian trusts him in the same way.

Wow, tissue box time again.  What a powerful chapter.  Your writing is truly amazing.  I can feel the pain and since they have faces because of the series, I can see it.  I have to agree with Brian, why can't they get a break, but then there would not be a story.  Hope you have a nice Thanksgiving, if you celebrate.

Author's Response:

Thank you <3 I know this chapter is "beat up Brian" cranked up to level 11, but I promise there will be BIG payoff for all of this in the end...the more hurt, the better the comfort, right? Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
