I can totally see that this is how they would have set up the recovery process... neither one completely sharing or feeling what they really think... too morbid or too out of character... this is just right

I love this story! It's funny, dramatic, loving, emotional... Justin is such a strong person / partner. He doesn't want Brian to feel less than a man and helps him as much as he can. He respects Brian's privacy as much as he can, considering what he has to do to get him clean, fed, comfortable. He doesn't do pity as Brian wouldn't endure it.

Great job for this gap filler that might help them building their "non relationship".
