Applesauce, I make a mistake in my last feedback. Yes of course, if Brian were to bring Gus over it would be in the present time. I just got confused. Applesauce!
The story is wonderful. I can see that you guys spent much time researching. That must be so interesting. Brian has a lot of explaining to do, like how he knew to go to The Strand for shelter.
But there is so much more. After I finished the chapter, I took apart my flashlight and looked at the batteries. Applesauce, sure enough, mine expire in 2025. Who is going to explain that to Harry and/or his mom when his batteries need replacement. Plus, there must be expiration dates on the packages Brian used on Justin’s injuries. Not important at all. Not at all! My explanation is that when Brian goes back in time, the dates on whatever he brings from the current/future changes to the past. Hey, Readers have their 1st Amendment rights too.
Wonderful story. As you can see, I am fully involved even to the point of making up my own explanations. I do look forward to each new chapter.
Once again, sorry for the mistake in my last Feedback. Applesauce!

Your review cracked us up! Applesauce! LOL. We forgive you for the error. Love hearing how involved you are in the story - even to the point of taking apart your own flashlight. Of course, Harry is only 3 and probably can't read so even if he took apart his new flashlight, he wouldn't understand the expiration date on the batteries. But he *WILL* have a tough time replacing them . . . I don't know if they had AAA batteries back then (will have to immediately research). Let's hope Brian used really good, long lasting batteries, right? As for the rest of the stuff Brian's using from the future, luckily, most people don't read all that fine print on stuff, right? Of course, Justin isn't most people and he *IS* quite observant so he might catch on . . . or maybe not. Hehehe. Yes, we have done a ton of research on this story - we started back in the summer and have now gone so far as to research even what kind of condoms they used then. We try to be thorough. Over Thanksgiving break TAG even went so far as to enlist her vet step-dad in explaing the sounds incendiary bombs make when they drop. =) Glad you're enjoying this so much. Well, RL has really been cutting into my Fic reading time... but somehow, I manage to find a few minutes to get caught up on my favorites.
I certainly hope Justin made it safely through the raid. Hard to imagine how Brian must have felt experiencing things he's only previously read about. I also didn't realize that most people at the time were not aware of the existence of the concentration camps.
Great job! Will be anxiously awaiting the next update.

I just dropped by to let you know what a terrific story this is. So many questions come to mind that I do not want you to reply to. Let the story tell me. Yet, I just can’t help mentioning a few.
It is nice to think that if things get terrible for Justin, Brian grab him into the present time. But who says that it is not Brian’s DNA that somehow allows him to go into the past. Justin may not be able to pass on to the future. ???
What will Brian do when it is reported that Justin’s plane was shot down. But Justin didn’t die but
parachuted to the country side of some country. What wasn’t reported is that another pilot saw the parachute. However, the landing is behind enemy lines. Now what. Yes, yes, that is sort of another
story.
More currently, I can’t wait to read how Brian explains Gus to Justin. We really could have fun with that.
There is so much more, but that is enough. Oh yes, one more. I can’t help it. In this last chapter, it
was mentioned that Brian misses Gus, and would like Linds and Mel and Gus to fly over to London. In the mist of a war? That sees strange to me. If they did, would Brian take Gus to see Justin.
That is enough. Thanks so much for this great story. I look forward to each chapter.

Hopefully, it won't be long before your questions are answered and I really hope you like what we have come up with.
When we mentioned Brian wanting to possibly bring Gus over, that would have been into 2016 London, not war-torn London. I'll go back and check we made that clear - Brian would DEFINITELY not risk Gus's life to bring him into the 40's, no matter how much he'd like to, he just wouldn't do it.
Can't wait to see what you think of the next few chapters :)

Oooooo.... Now it gets complicated! The setting of a war is perfect for this kind of plot. Brian can, at least for a while, pass off his knowledge as some kind of secret info from the war spy game. Still, can you image a RAF officer trying to wrap his mind around the fact that he's going out with some kind of spy!!! Oh, the intrigue!
Your mention of the 'ovens' actually shocked me a little. I guess I was getting into the past mindset and wasn't expecting it. Lord... imagine having to explain THAT to someone with no historical knowledge of it! There's no way they're going to believe at first that human beings could be that monstrous. And, god help me, I can't help comparing that to our situation today. (Now, I'm going to go hide under a bed somewhere for a couple of years.)

Justin was already intrigued by this thing and now Brian has to explain it. What a mood-killer!
Telling Justin to be careful wasn't a great idea: he is so prompt to serve the country that helped him becoming a pilot that he can't stay away from the fight. Brian is right: it could change the future and he won't be able to prevent anything else. Tough choice.
Mr. Hobbs is the other dangerous element in this story. Is he also in the army? I would guess so in such a period. If yes, is he also in the RAF?

Great wooing! As Brian doesn't care what he looks like, he's quite free to act as he wants, except the period of time that doesn't allow everything he would like to do.
It's funny how Brian can afford to live in such hotel while he wasn't meant to be, due to his background.
I loved the game he played with Justin while they were waiting to eat. It's a great way to balance the levels.
Justin's education is starting: yeah! Lucky him and us!
