You can feel Brian's pain in this chapter. What will be Michael's reaction to Brian's move to New York? Great chapter thank you.

Wow, what a powerful chapter. Could just feel all the pain and anger that Brian was going through. Great writing.
Author's Response:
Thank you! I felt like this was a risky chapter because it was Michael's POV, but I really wanted all of this out on the table and he was the only way to get it. After this we'll go back to Brian and Justin POV. ;)

Michael didn't think to call Justin not because he didn't want to worry him but because if Justin showed up Michael would no longer be in charge or learn what was going on with Brian first. You know he's Brian's bestest bud.
Once Brian accepted this new life he begin to become his old self, bad as new. Justin and him going to NY by himself put that sparkle back in his eyes.
Oh no however is Michael going to do if Brian moves away? Will he fight him? Probably. Can't wait to see how Michael handles that bit of news.
Author's Response:
Interesting perspective! I hadn't thought about it from that angle, but it's true as well, that Justin showing up would undermine Michael's importance in the situation, which he might not have been willing to give up. Perhaps another subconscious motivation there. Brian is going through a pretty significant shift right now, and there will be another one later. But yes, the taste of independence, knowing that he could still manage fully on his own, and people not having this before-and-after view of Brian was definitely something he needed. Will Michael fight him? Maybe. ;)

Très belle histoire. J’attends la suite avec impatience. Merci

Merci! Thank you for reading!

It is time for Brian to stop fighting himself. I can see Kinnetik in NY. Even if they start out small. Seems Brian can breathe easier. I see him as an advocate for wheelchair accessibility. He could be running ads and doing PR work. He handled the trains with no problem. Justin would be right beside him all the way.
Author's Response:
Thanks! I'm working on the idea of getting Brian to NY permanently in my head right now. :) It probably won't happen for at least a couple of chapters though. Great idea on being an advocate for accessibility as well. It's definitely such BS how so few people think about whether or not people with mobility impairments can use their space or patronize their business.

I really like this new chapter. I hope Brian can do his agency in New York to be with Justin and start a new life.
Author's Response:
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. I've got ideas brewing in my head for New York!

Great second chapter. Iike the way you are headed with Brian learning how to ignore the nay sayers.
Author's Response:
Thank you! He's working through the stages of grief. He's not quite there yet, though.

I'm glad you decided to do more with this. Getting around can't be easy. Love this story line for being different.

Wow, great chapter. So happy you are continuing the story. Maybe Brian will make that move to NY that he always thought he wanted. A branch office would be nice. Terrific writing.
Author's Response:
Thanks for the compliments -- I'm happy you are enjoying the story! Maybe he will!

Would love to see more of the story as they grow together as a couple. Great story and good portrayal of spinal cord injury.
Author's Response:
Thank you! Accurately portraying SCI is one of my goals with this story. I'm working on a part 2 now, and it may even continue beyond that. One of the benefits of setting the story post-series -- I can go on as long as I can think of plots! ;)

It's a painful story and the end is a good promise but I hope there will be a sequel.
Author's Response:
Yes, I am working on one now - thanks for reading!

Loved this. It gaves us an interesting look into a life that could easily have been and to know it didn't really change anything.
Author's Response:
It's definitely something really big, but not out of the realm of possibility. When I was getting ready to post it, I thought it might be so big that I should tag it as AU, but after consulting with others decided not to do so, since I'm following the canon completely, just taking it in a bit of a wild direction after it. I'm explore more of what has changed and what hasn't in part 2.

Simply beautiful! Hoping you decide to write more of this.

Devastatingly beautiful.
Knew it was something serious. I thought maybe he had a recurrence of cancer. If Brian had found someone else, he would have told Justin. And i can understand his reason for not telling Justin in the beginning. I agree it was selfish of Brian not to tell Justin as time went on.
They' ll handle this just as they always do when faced with some adversity...together.
Author's Response:
Thank you <3 I could see where your thoughts might go down the road of a cancer recurrence as well. I'm seriously considering a part two from Brian's point of view, because I want to explore further how this experience has changed him and how it hasn't, and I can't do that from an outsider perspective.

Wow, another tissue story. So good, but so sad. Great writing. At least the ending was as happy as it could be.
Author's Response:
Thank you! <3 Seriously considering writing a part 2, perhaps it'll end even happier. ;)

That was great, although from the beginning my heart is pounding because i thought Brian really has a new beau, and it's the one thing I can't stomach to read with the boys involved with someone else emotionally but thank God it wasn't in this story..atleast even though Brian is permanently sitting on the wheelchair we know that His sunshine would stay by his side...
Great job on this one,and please keep writing amazing story..Goodluck for more💛
Author's Response:
Thanks so much! <3 It sounds like my attempt at building suspense worked...haha. But yeah, no worries, there's no one else!

I was enjoying this story and was surprised to be reading the final paragraph. Would really love this to continue a bit further.
Author's Response:
I'm seriously considering writing a part 2, that will explore some of this from Brian's point of view, and some flashbacks, and then continue further. The thoughts are happening!
