I always find weird that someone like Cynthia would throw such a box in an office trashcan, even if it's in a private bathroom. I guess it was due to the shock of the result and I understand that's a way for Brian to find out.

The cleaning crew normally empties that trash every night, and they were there when she was there, so she assumed it would be safely gone by morning...they just missed it that night.

This chapter is heavy on emotions and suspense. It doesn't seem like a great news for Cynthia though; if Rich is the father, he might get worse than he already is about what Cynthia is supposed to do. Will she be able to know who the father actually is?

Cynthia definitely has Brian's back! And she's right about Brian's dislike for Rich being because he's sort of jealous, as her "work husband," even though he'd never admit to that. Brian gives this sort of treatment to anyone who is "replacing" him, including Dr. David, and he actually did it to Ben too, until Ben passed his tests. ;)

Oh no, cliffhanger LOL I love this story so much I will live thru the cliffhangers. I don't think in my previous review, I mentioned how much I love Cynthia and the connection she has with Brian. I loved her in the series, too. She is like a female Brian in so many ways. And, she stands up to him when necessary. Wonderful writing.

Cliffhangers are part of the fun of a multi chapter story I think! ;) I love Cynthia and Brian too, so that's why I wanted to take this on. I've struggled with it a bit, but I hope you all will still enjoy it. I agree that Cynthia and Brian are a lot alike...perhaps in all the worst ways....haha. Brian needs someone who is just as stubborn and headstrong as he is to stand up to him and keep him in line. :p But I think he also knows she’s right, so he’s not arguing with her too much. Just enough that he isn’t just lying down and taking it. ;)

When I read the first chapter of the Changed verse, I was afraid I was not going to like the idea of Brian and Justin less than perfect. But, as I continued and have read each addition to the storyline, I find that I love the entire concept mainly because it shows us that life is not PERFECT. Oh, a perfect Brian & Justin makes a good story, but the trials of the life they are living now have made them better people. We have learned that life is not always as we want it, but it is up to us to make the most of what we are given. And, this storyline shows that it is possible no matter what is handed to us. And, you have done just that. You were handed an amazing talent, writing. Not just to put words on paper, but make the emotions of those words come to life. So I thank you for sharing this with the readers. Wonderful, fantastic, terrific are not even strong enough to say how amazing this story is. Thank you for continuing it. 10 PLUS
