This is an absolutely wonderful story. I loved everything about it. It's a feel-good read.
I can see where the family would be stunned by what they witnessed at Safe Harbor. The fact that Lindsay had to pull a pissed-looking Melanie away seems about right. I'm sure it was hard for Melanie to see and acknowledge that Brian has done something wonderful for others, and never expected anything in return. It goes against the grain of how she's always perceived Brian.
Huh ~ there was no explanation of the name: Andrew Patrick. And good call with that name for confirmation. It fit perfectly for Brian.
However, I'm surprised we didn't get a "foot stomp" from Mikey... "Why didn't you ever tell me?" :D

Oh, I can't see how this secret can be kept from the rest of the family. Maybe clue Debbie in. But Jason is a whole different ballgame.
Debbie's rules will probably be met with "More Rules?" Just like Justin said to her when he was moving in. If Debbie tells him she's housed 2 other teens, maybe Jason will think it might not be so bad.

Stupid Michael, thinking Jason is worse than Hunter. (Hunter - that's different.) Well then, Emmett should have pointed out that Jason never lived on the streets. He's been in a caring environment. But this is stupid Michael and his stupid reasoning.
I know I mentioned Debbie. Good idea. But what's going to come of Brian's 'secret identity?'
I'm wondering if Melanie can really find out that Brian is Andrew?

I have to wonder when the topic of Red Wheel first came up, if Brian would have promised to visit Jason there, if that might have helped the transfer any better? Jason has known for a long time that he would have to move.
If this comes out in the open, I can just hear the degrading comments about Brian from some of these people. Did Brian lead him on?
Emmett ~ I'm glad he was able to get Jason back to Safe Haven. Debbie would have been a good choice, but that's opening a lot of things right now.
BTW ~ George is responsible for all this mess... but I adored George. I was so sad to see him discontinued, but without George strongly supporting Safe Haven, Emmett never would have gone there. ;)

I love how you played this. I know Emmett can be trustworthy, unless he gets over-excited or something.
I'm trying to figure out how this is going to become public knowledge ~ or family knowledge. Because it wouldn't be much of a story without some strife. And you're so good at piling that on.
It was thrilling how Brian knew Justin was totally trustworthy, and some 'friends' aren't.

What a wonderful story. I love when writers find new ideas for Brian & Justin who you know I love. I think in chapter 2, I was getting the feeling that Andrew and Brian were one and the same, but I never know what great ideas the writers come up with. Fantastic writing as always.
