Great chapter!!!!!! Oooooh that fucking DORK! I hope Michael gets fired for certainly he told them some bullshit excuse for why he isn't able to go to work...where he belongs! And secondly, I'm so HAPPY that Brian has been privy to all of Michael's maliciousness. There will be no backpeddling or misplaced blame shifted for his cuntiness.
As for the others, I'm glad that Jennifer came around, although I have to wonder if it wouldn't have happened if Craig hadn't ended up in jail for his crimes. I'm so happy his bum ass is toast, by the way. As you can tell, Michael and Craig are running neck-and-neck for the world's biggest asshole award in my bad books. Of course, Lindsay held true to form with the waterworks. I doubt they were really for Brian and much more for herself. After their last parting, she knows that she really has nothing to gain since the Gravy Train was stopped by Justin on Brian's behalf. Jack, Joan and Claire showing up to the hospital also means their circling like vultures over carrion. They can all join Michael, Craig and YES, Lindsay too, for the biggest Douchebag awards. Yeah, definitely NOT buying the faux-concern nor piety.
But what got me in the heart was the last few lines of the chapter. With Brian in Justin's form, hearing Michael's last tirade for himself, he was finally able to put a name to what he feels for Justin. And in the same breath, Justin said the same to Brian....but Michael's Dumbo-detectors otherwise known as his ears HEARD the admissions between his best friend and his lover. Guess Michael Novotny can join Patti Lapont while singing Shattered Illusions for the foreseeable future!
Looking forward to the aftermath and conclusion to this wonderful story!

As for Craig, I soooooo HOPE they throw the book at him, although based on the timeline, it's highly unlikely. But attempted vehicular manslaughter has to be punished somehow, along with running a red light and leaving the scene of an accident. The eyewitness testimony, which also heard the conversation between Craig and son should go a long way to making that creep pay! Okay, okay I'll get off my activism soapbox now.

One of the hallmarks of Michael's character was that he was a scared little coward. He's rarely more than that in my stories. I had to give Brian an ally in Vic. I always wished that we could have seen more Mysterious Marilyn in the show, she was so much fun.
