Michael has a one-room apt above the shop? Yeah, no court is going to give him custody. It also amazes me that he has had spare money to go to Canada and rent a room while there. And how did he come up with the down payment for the shop? But if he owes Melanie for three years of back support, then Social Services will be all over him, too. Not to mention what Deb will say about shirking his responsibilities. It also makes Michael look shallow to think he can get support, so he can get a nicer place. Is he in it for the money, or Jenny?
It makes me happy that both Brian and Justin want past mistakes left in the past.

Thank you, Deb! I was wanting to reach into my computer and strangle Michael. How can he be so stupid? Well, don't answer that! He should be sitting in a corner with a dunce cap on. I loved the truths thrown in his face by Debbie - and Jenny in turn - and Brian. However, I would have loved for Justin to have said to Michael, 'Isn't it nice that Brian didn't leave me lying there?' Lindsay heard the comment too, so she could have backed Justin up. But if that was the case, I think Deb would have done more than just push him out of the house. And Jen would have helped too.

As a lawyer, I think lying about something like the adoption thing is just going to further hinder her. I wonder why Lindsay didn't go into Brad's office too? She's the real mom, and I think that would have been better, especially when Mel has things to hide.

Poor widdle Michael. Overslept. Going back to Pittsburgh to tell Brian what has been happening over the last two years. ONLY ~ Michael might have a hard time finding him. If Emmett's aware, I hope he doesn't say anything.

Jesus! Those women should be corralled like some wild animals. If this is the way they are in front of Gus, along with Michael's idiocy, I don't blame Gus in the least. I did get a chuckle out of Lindsay calling parents and their comments about her not being a good mother.
A new lawyer! This mess is getting bigger all the time. I have to wonder if Mel was forging her boss' signature. I can't see a stand-up attorney doing something so underhanded that it would get him disbarred. No wonder Brian was hitting roadblocks. I think we have a very angry Brian on the warpath. Look out, ladies!
Michael, Michael, Michael. D.E.L.U.S.I.O.N.A.L. If he thinks Brian will want him for getting Dad and Gus reunited, all Brian will be is PISSED. If all this was going on, Brian will demand to know why it took so long to tell him. And where's Debbie during all this? She's not the 'suffer in silence' type, nor not see her granddaughter for a long stretch of time. At least Jenny knew Gus' plans. In a way, I'm sorry she knew and told them.
How is Michael funding all these trips to Canada? Is he flying or driving? Either way, it's gotta take a lot of money. I doubt his job pays him well enough. Does he have the comic shop? Lord, is Ben having to pay spousal support?

What a tangled web. Michael should have some torture done to him. For it being twelve years, why is he still holding out for Brian's declaration of love? Has he had other relationships? I can't see anyone wanting him, especially if they know the reason Ben left.
I'm glad Brian's being grown up about Justin. He didn't get angry, which shows a lot. And it seems is willing to at least haave a friendship so he can get to know Jacob.
I'm not sure about Brian's lawyer. Is Brian still paying child support? Something's wrong there, if he is.
And I definitely hope that Child Services gets involved, because if it's been a week and no one seems to know Gus is missing yet, just how long will it be before they do?

A lot of miscommunication going on. I hope Justin finds out what's going on up in Canada. That's bad that Lindsay or Mel hasn't returned Justin's phone call. I can maybe see Mel not wanting to, because Justin is linked to Brian in the past. But Lindsay? Especially when Justin has a show coming up, I'd think she would think it was about that.

Overall, this was enjoyable. You took your time with each character and I got to know your vision of each of them. I like how you grew and changed Michael. That was an interesting surprise. You did it well.
There were too many pregnancies for my liking and that made it difficult for me to believe. But, that's just me. I'll end where I started, overall, I really enjoyed the read.
