At least Brian is realizing that he has a few good friends. He needs to learn to let them help a little and maybe depend on them. I'm surprised he talked about the bashing with Rob. That's big! And Michael has turned out to be a good friend.

Thank heavens! Maybe now my anxiety will settle down. I was getting very tense! My wondering about Justin and amnesia, well, now I know for sure he remembers.

Want nothing more than for you to love me. To earn your approval. For you to be proud of me. Well, Joanie, all that disappeared when you turned a blind eye to your husband's abuse of your son. However, in both Proverbs and Deuteronomy it talks about disciplining them appropriately, not beating them and breaking bones. And the fear Brian lived with, wondering if this night, it would happen again.
But then we had Gus' exuberant birthday hug and wishes, which overrode everything else.
You have a knack for taking real-life issues that can be hard to overcome, but you didn't give a miraculous recovery. They had to fight and learn how to cope. You left them with a way to overcome them with help and guidance. And love.
