This is so funny!!! The snails, the fish, the Southerns looking for some comfort... Brian witty and snarky retorts.

Emmett's family is a hoot. 'you know'.
Date: Apr 13, 2017 3:57 pm Title: Chapter 9
Those kids: full of energy and very good funny ideas to entertain their parents!
Joan is really taking charge of her life with 2 big steps: refusing to help her daughter and asking a man on a date!!

Poor Em he's having a Bridezilla meltdown. lol
I'm still having trouble liking Joan. I'm doing my best but it's just so out of character.
Penny...that girl is a trip. She is so like Brian it isn't funny.

It's nice that Joan is getting with the times. Poor Emmett. What was he thinking. lol.
Date: Apr 13, 2017 2:47 am Title: Chapter 9
I laughed so hard during the chapter! First, Brian and Joan being 'punished' by not being allowed to help Princess Penny. They reminded my of children entering the 'Jive Five' stage where they learn to reason themselves out of trouble. It never works...NEVER, but it sure is hilarious!
I can't fault Brian's reasoning for not telling Mel, Lindz and Justin about Michael's departure courtesy of Dan. Even not hearing about the Jackass of Liberty Avenue for one day is enough to never want to hear the name of Michael Novotny again. I'm seriously hoping that he remains out-of-sight, out-of-mind.
Brian trying talk to Joan about dating was so awesome and darling! He's right! Now that she has her head on straight, she should get out there and see what the world has to offer, and that extends to dating. Hopefully Stuart will be the man to make her blush like a teenager again.
As for Claire...LAWD HAM TURKEY that chick makes me sick! She's looking to blame everyone else for being less than vigiliant with her son's felonious tendencies. 99-1 John showed this kind of behavior long before he stole a car. He either needs to stay his ass in jail or get sent to military school since she can't handle him. I so glad Brian and Joan are making her solve her own problems for once.
Emmett's opinion of his hick family is HILARIOUS!!!! I think we all have that one family member that makes us want to run, hide and change ethnicity to disassociate with them. Emmett, on the other hand, has a whole RV full of them on their way to his wedding. OMG! I can't wait to experience the craziness of the Honeycutts!
Looking forward to the next chapter!

Go Dan! I'm glad he followed Michael. He just proved he needs constant supervision.
I'm glad Brian is finally getting the mother he always needed. I do hope Justin can have the same thing.

Joan is doing well. Michael not so much. But Dan has Justin and Brian's back.
Date: Apr 12, 2017 4:14 am Title: Chapter 8
Will Michael go without fighting the reality? Glad Dan was there to witness what he was doing.
I hoped to read some funny facts with the kids and Joan. What they could think of while they were playing around her.

Now what are the odds of that rat-faced, Mickey Mouse-sounding bastard is going to stay GONE?! I'm glad he's seen just how much life moved on without him. Also happy that Dan got that restraining order for Dumbass to stay away from Justin. Since Brian and Justin are together most of the time, it also protects Brian. I don't trust that sneaky weasel as far as I can throw a truck... raggedy rat-bastard!
Looking forward to the next chapter!

Nice Joan is sending me for a loop. Can't wait for Emmett and Alex's wedding.

Once again, the last line was......wonderful! I absolutely loved it. Joad really recognized that Justin had a huge impact on Brian, and the fact that Brian was able to give her a chance. I honestly welled up a bit there!!
this was a fabulous chapter! Loved it!!

That was so sweet.

Excellant chapter. Love how Brian is willing to give Joan a chance and helping her as well. And how wonderful that she realizes that Justin is the reason Brian is giving her that chance.

Okay so.... this made my heart melt! Joan is trying AND succeeding! As a sister to two addicts- one in recovery and the other still struggling- this gives me hope that they can get clean and stay clear! This is only the second story or series I've read where Joan is redeemable and relatable. Well done!
As for Claire or should we call her this story's Mikey Jr., she really needs to have every particle of her ass whipped! Whether Joan is clean or not, John and Peter are HER responsibility. There are loads and tons of services willing to help her or provide afterschool activities for her sons. Using work is NOT an excuse to be neglectful and throw a pity party. She's basically stunting their growth in her attempt to guilt Brian or Joan into helping her. "BE A DAMN WOMAN!! Put your Big Girl Panties ON and stop being lazy!" is what Brian really needed to tell her. Millions of single women have this struggle so Claire is NOT special. They manage and don't find or lean on any excuse from themselves not to try. Okay, climbing off of my soapbox now, LOL That bitch just makes me so damn sick!
Looking forward to MORE!

Joan sober??? Is she dead? Wow
Date: Apr 10, 2017 5:20 pm Title: Chapter 6
Wow. Joan is making major strides! Nice to see that Brian is ready to accept her attempts at reconciliation as well. He'll take step to accept her, but is also necessarily hesitant. Above all else, he'll look after his family first. He'll protect them no matter what.
what awonderful story!!
Cheers

Whoa!!! What a change! I always thought father Tom will get her to admit some of her faults, but I never imagine she would go this far. That was a beautiful letter.
Nathan and the copy machine: that's excellent!

I do hope that Joan is sincere. I would hate to see the kids and Brian be disappointed.

I do love a "Redeemed Joanie" story, mainly because they are so rare. I cannot say enough, how much I love Nathan. He is the cutest kid in the world.

I understand how Emmett feels but they are all right. He knows why he is marrying Alex and it shouldn't be anyone elses business.
I'm glad our favorite couple got to have some alone time. Poor Grant and Dan, I guess kids are not in the cards for them right away. lol
