Glad that Justin talked to Cynthia about his fears in promoting Rachel and that she eased them. I really do like Rachel and she understands Justin, both as a man and as an artist. I LOVE the idea of Justin opening his own agency geared towards art. Definitely a smart move and will give him career longevity as well. Hiring Hunter is also a wonderful thing to do. Not only will it give him a chance to work his degree- which is rare for many college students- but he'll be well paid and travel places the rest of them can only dream of going.
As for his conversation with Lindsay, what the hell?!!!! Thank GOD he did not hire that harridan! I know that she's not necessarily bad in this fic but I still don't like her invasiveness or that passive-aggressive, guilt-slinging bullshit she just tried to pull. I firmly believe she would have been worst than Stephen at trying to manage Justin instead of solely Justin's career. Time with Brian would be a thing of the past in its entirety until Justin is so burned out that he either gives up his career in its totality or becomes so blocked he can no longer produce the quality of work he's become known for. Hiring Lindsay would have been the ultimate disaster!
For Brian's part, I'm so glad that he backed Justin up and laid it all out to Lindsay. I don't think what Justin said really registered in her one-track mind until Brian noted that she couldn't do what Rachel does while living with Mel and raising Gus and Jenny. As for her staying with Brian and Justin, thank the GODS that both of them are out of town AND the loft is unavailable to her!! I firmly believe that Lindsay would use any opportunity to play Lady of the Manor and instead of respecting Brian and Justin's design choices, would definitely change them to suit her ideals and taste. Melanie allows that to keep the peace; I highly doubt Justin would be as cowardly. Let her go stay with Michael and Deb who would definitely benefit from Lindsay 'moving in.' Lawd knows their places definitely have too much of their personalities in them...LOL

I really like Rachel. She really is like Cynthia 2.0 which is just what Justin needs. So happy that Stephen is a peon of the past. He grated on my last working nerve. Brian just may be right in that she could run Justin's career singlehandedly. Hopefully Lindsay will leave her alone and not offer any 'suggestions' as she's wont to do. I also think she's going to make an excellent addition to the family. Shelby is endearing. I think it's going to be an eye-opener to watch him blossom under Justin's encouragement. The good-natured banter at dinner was hilarious.
