As for Brian and Justin, I love the fact that trust is building between them. The fact that Brian was honest in his feelings towards Justin, who is so free with his own, was hot and endearing. This is definitely shaping up to be much more than a summer fling for both of them.

Some pretty hot interplay between our 2 favorite boys. Wonder how long either will last with their own convictions? Will either give in or stand firm a bit longer. I'm actually enjoying Justin's almost "hard to get" attitude. He doesn't want a summer fling and says so. Brian's typical in adn out won't work here at all. He must realize that. He wouldn't put this much effort into it if he was only interested in a one time thing.
Emmett going to Vic was interesting. I must say I had teh same reaction as Emmett at one point. vic's initial comment made my jaw drop! Even slightly trying to excuse Michael's behaviour is just wrong. I guess because it's family, and it's well known what Michael's feelings are towards Brian, that vic is just trying to find a way to not have Michael be as evil as he's actually been. Really curious as to what Deb's reaction is going to be. Will she disbelieve what she's heard and back Michael, or will she kick his ass. I mean it's not fact, but let's face it...it's pretty much a given that he did it.

I really LOVE the chemistry between Brian and Justin here! It's playful and sexy. Definitely more-than-a-summer-fling worthy! That kiss what HOT! I'm with Riley... just do the 'grown-up' and put each other out of their initial misery... or more accurately put me out of MY misery, LOL
As for Lindsay... Jeez, I wish she would get all of her facts before she decides to go on her high moral crusade. Without knowing anything, she just takes Michael's word for what happened between him and Brian. It's infuriating that she can't see through the lies and bullshit. I hope Mel gives her that dose of truth and reality even before they leave Sandcove.
I'm glad that Em went to confide in Vic, even if I'm not happy with Vic's initial reaction of trying to explain away Michael's actions. I know that's the normal response mechanism for ALL things Twerp but still it grates on my nerves. I doubt Deb's reaction will be much better since it is all kinds of evident that Michael is in the wrong. I'm afraid that instead of blaming Michael, which should happen, she'll throw the book at Brian, calling him a bad influence on her perfect devil. I hope I'm proven wrong but so far I can't see it happening any other way. Well at least it is all out in the open and no one can say they weren't told about Michael's misdeeds.

It's vaudeville-like, with people coming and going in others' houses. I guess it's the way really small towns work when everybody knows the neighbors, in a good way.

Gran is hilarious!! I absolutely adore her! Justin is definitely making a great impression on everyone he comes in contact with. It was great to have a little backstory on why he gave up his lucrative career. I think he might go back to it, at least moderately, now that he has a face to put to the 'soulmate' character.
If the adage "The best way to a man's heart is through his stomach" is true, Justin is about to win a whole lot of hearts, especially Brian's! Cook On, Cutie!! LOL
As for Mel, I'm so happy that Brian trusts her enough that he knows she wouldn't harm him. I appreciated the sensitivity in which she delivered the news of Michael's betrayal. Now only if Lindsay will freaking fall in line...Michael's days within that group are numbered! Is it wrong for me to be happy as a pig in slop about that?
Although there isn't any bonafide proof, it's definitely easy to see him slipping a drug into Brian's drink to get what he's always wanted or to make everyone think he has. What better way to keep the tricks away from Brian than to have them all believing he's off the market with his best friend? I mean, nothing else was working for him- not the whining, the pleas, the tantrums, the suggestions- NOTHING! It isn't hard to stretch the imagination to how desperate Michael could and would get. I hope he doesn't follow Ted and Emmett to Sandcove!

I think I'm seeing a parallel between the ending of time Bender as Justin is describing it and the end of QAF. Leaving it open to a possible continuation or leaving it in such a way that the view/or reader in this instance, can make their own ending. nice touch.
Glad Brian believed Mel. That he's going to be done with Michael. Looking forward to Michael's reaction and everything he's going to try to do. I hope he mistakenly admits to it. Brian is a hell of a wordsdman perhaps he can figure out a way. Someone is going to have to in order to get proof.
riley is makign friends with Brian. That's a good thing. hopefull he'll be able to lighten brian up a bit. Open the doors for justin.

I LOVE Gran!! She is definitely going to be a pistol during this fic! Already it's not hard to see Brian falling for her too. Definitely loved Cynthia's assessment of Michael, not letting Brian sugarcoat the matter. Michael is a psycho who can't understand that no means NO! I'm waiting with bated breath for him to finally get what's coming to him.
As for the conversation with Mel, first let me say how damn pissed I am that Michael is sitting in Lindsay's living room, laughing it up and lying through his damn teeth. Nothing about him talking with Brian was funny. in fact, it was embarrassing and potentially damaging but Lindsay is so damn quick to believe the best in that schmuck. I doubt that even when Mel tells her the truth of what Em said, she'll believe it because she doesn't want to.
For Mel's part, I'm glad that she believes Emmett and therefore Ted. I'm also glad that she agreed to tell Brian as his lawyer. The news coming from her will put Michael's crime/ idea of 'friendship' in a whole new perspective for Brian. I've always thought that Michael was emotionally abusive in so many ways, even while seeming to be innocent. If it wasn't Justin, it was his mother or Brian...not Brian then David and Ben with the whole 'Brian's my best friend' litany and his actions because of it. And let's not forget Hunter. It's primarily why I can't stand him in canon or out of it. Anyway, I hope Brian takes Mel, Em and Ted very seriously. If Michael can do this type of thing to some he purports to 'love,' what will he do to someone he doesn't?

I get the impression that Brian may just have to work for Justin this time. Not tha t Justin isn't intersted, we all know he is, but he's also looking for something more that what Brian may have to offer initially. I like the idea of Brian having to work for it.
Michael, I think it's safe to say it's an anti-michael if he did indeed drug Brian! The very idea is abhorant and for me, would be completely and untterly unforgivable, no matter how long the friendship has been.
I certainly hope Ted talks to Brian asap! If he holds back, there's no saying what Brian would do to him. Losinghis job would be the least of his worries. Emmett was wise letting him know he needs to talk.
Can't believe your starting another story! I'm in awe! what's really impressive is that they seem to be so varied. Doesn't matter if they are mostly anti M of anti L, the story premises are different.
