Hey! That's great that you could see your family and spend some time with them. I've never been to a "Schützenfest". But I also don't think that would be something for me. I'm glad that we hardly ever celebrate carnival here in Berlin or have a meadow festival like in Munich. It's not really my thing.

Gosh, it's really scary what's happening in America right now. I read that this Clarence Thomas would like to abolish other rights... it was about contraception and about same sex marriage. It's so horrible because it is just about the arbitrariness of these judges and not about what the majority of the people wants. It's so scary.

So now to your story. Thanks for another story in your wonderful saga! As always, very well written! I find it very, very sad how Mel acted (I've wrote it before that I actually liked her - a lot more, a thousand times more than Michael and Lindsay anyway) but ultimately, as you write, it's her loss because she is the one who is alone while Jenny has so many loving people around her, who care of her and love her. You mentioned that you're writing for a different fandom at the moment. I wish you lots of fun and success there, but I also hope that we will read something from you again sometime! All the best for you, stay healthy and hopefully we hear or read from you in the future! Warmest regards!

Author's Response:

Haha, I hate carnival :P I really don't have the energy for all these "typical" German things. I am so not made for them... But the things we do for family lol

I am sooooo glad to be living in Western Europe, where thankfully, things are moving in a completely different direction for most parts (ignoring the UK and their stupid Brexit)!

I am glad that you liked this story :) Thanks for all your comments - they really mean a lot!

It is true, my interest has shifted away from Queer as Folk recently and I have just finished my fourth story in the White Collar universe and am writing my fifth (the muse is really on fire there), but I have one more Brian/Justin story in my files that I finished before my interests shifted. It's not from the Back for Good universe, but another original story.

I still have to finish editing it, so it will take another couple of weeks before it will be ready to be posted, but I promise that I will be back to share it as well :)

And who knows? Maybe somewhere down the lines my love for Brian and Justin will get reignited with the muse and I'll write something new. Never say never!

Wonderful story.

There was nothing left for Jenny to wish for. All the people in the room celebrating with her made all her wishes and hopes already come true.

Good ending. Whatever happened to Lindsay? Is she still in prison? Will there be more?

Author's Response:

Luke is 15 in this story, Lindsay was sentenced to 17 years in prison when he was about 1 year old, so yeah, she would still be in prison.

As of now, there are no plans for more, as my interests have shifted to another fandom in recent months, but who knows what the muse decides down the line ;)

Thanks for your comments - they really meant a lot :)

Hi! Thanks for another beautiful chapter! That was a very good idea of Brian (or of you ;-) ) that Jenny gets the opportunity to meet Ben and Hunter. Finally a parent who is acting normal and who honestly cares about her!How are you otherwise?

I've had to think of you a few times this week. I watched this insane, disgustin video by this sick, insane Eric Greitens and got so angry. His Republican colleagues, who seem at least a bit normal, already get death threats and he affirms this. This guy is really disgusting, sick and dangerous. And in Texas, at a party convention, they passed a party program in which they not only described the election of Joe Biden as President of the United States as illegitimate, but also described homosexuality as an "abnormal way of life." And the war in Ukraine has been going on for 4 months and there is no end or solution in sight. What a sick world! And let's not talk about the Supreme Court... Now it's taking revenge that Trump had the opportunity to appoint new judges. What terrible developments.

So, I hope you are well! Looking forward to Sunday! Warmest regards!

Author's Response:

I am glad that you liked the return of Ben and Hunter - I really liked those two and wanted to bring them back :)

I am good - I mean, the world is going crazy right around us, but well... I try to ignore it as much as I can. Don't even get me started on the Texas GOP or the Supreme Court :/

I was home in Germany for the weekend. We had "Schützenfest" in my town and my cousin was "König" in 2019. Since this is their first Schützenfest since then, it was officially the end of his reign, which is a big thing in our small town. The whole family was invited and we all got to drink for free as family of the king ;) I remember drinking shots with my 81 year old grandfather at 1am :P It was good! ;)

Normally, I am not into Schützenfeste too much. It's too traditional, small town, not my cup of tea, but it was nice to meet my whole family again and just have a nice celebration with all of them :)

I flew back last night and had every intention of updating the story, but then my flight was delayed several hours and I only got home at 1.30 am and had to get up for work at 7am this morning.

I will update the story later tonight :)

I hope you're doing okay as well! Stay safe!

Hi! Thanks for another chapter! No, Michael probably wouldn't have changed much if the series would have continued. I have to say that I generally like anti-Michael stories (and anti-Linds stories - think she is just as bad as Michael), although I'm also open to stories where the author just makes Michael a real best friend. Similar to Joan and Craig, if it's well written I'm open to anything. But if a writer leaves Michael's character as we encountered it on the show, I think realistically it can only be an anti-Michael-story. ;-) I'm curious to see what they're up to. Do they want to adopt Jenny? Is that even possible? Anyway, I'll have to wait until Sunday! Warmest regards!

Author's Response:

We will find out soon what Brian's plan is :)

Oh, I love anti-Michael and anti-Lindsay stories. Those two always annoyed the hell out of me lol As did Melanie most of the time, but I have read a couple of stories where she and Brian became friends once Lindsay was out of the way and I could see that happening because I always got the feeling that a lot of Melanie's dislike of Brian was based on jealousy that was only made worse by Lindsay's fawning over Brian...

As always, thanks very much for your comment. More will be up tomorrow :)

Hi! Thanks for another chapter! It came as expected. Although, in my imagination the first thing Michael would do is ask where Brian is. Haha. But the way you described it made sense. What a stupid pathetic dumbass! Poor Jenny! But hey, she has her real "family" and I think she'll get through it just fine with their help! Looking forward to Sunday and warmest regards!

Author's Response:

Yeah, not really surprising that it ended in tears :( Michael will probably never change and will always have his delusions when it comes to Brian...

Thankfully Jenny has a loving family around her that will take good care of her and hopefully she can then move on from this meeting!

Hi again! Yes, I think we have a similar view of Michael. Of course, one must not forget that it was only a TV series and the possibilities are limited, but it often annoyed me so much that so many storylines were not completed or remained open. Maybe that was intentional, I don't know. And so yes, I was also really really annoyed that Brian apologized to Michael after he hit him and it annoyed me that no one else knew what it was all about. Why did they let Brian apologize to Michael and then nobody ever talked about it anymore???

This chapter. I have a really bad feeling with Michael's initial reaction, which seems so nice and normal. Especially since I know how you feel about Michael. It would be really terrible for Jenny if Michael just used her to get to Brian through her. Well, I'll have to wait until Sunday... Warmest regards!

Author's Response:

Well, I wouldn't hold my breath and wait for Michael to turn into a normal person - just saying ;)

Hi! No, not really! I don't think many of us miss Michael. He could have stayed in Portland.. :-) And to be honest I didn't think about him at all. And yes, as you wrote, he managed once again - if only for a brief moment - to come between Brian and Justin. I soooo often wished on the show that Brian would stand up against Michael and his stupid behaviour just for once and sided with Justin. I might be forgetting a scene, but the only thing that really comes to mind is Mel and Lind's party when Brian behaves properly towards Michael. And then he runs to him and apologizes for it???? What the fuck! Well, and that scene in S5 was totally surreal anyway. Luckily Brian and Justin are much further along in your story. Michael can't come between them and I'm sure it will stay that way. We will see. So, thanks for another chapter and warmest regards!

Author's Response:

Personally, I never liked Michael on the show. He annoyed the hell out of me. If I had a friend like that, we wouldn't be friends anymore, that's for sure...

I was so happy when Brian punched him at Mel and Lindsay's party. Michael had it coming for a long time and what he said about Justin then was unforgivable! And I absolutely hated that Brian was once again the one to apologize when it should have been Michael... At that point, I wanted to hit Brian instead :/

Yes, thankfully, the Brian and Justin in my story are way further along as a couple and Brian has definitely moved on from Michael's games and obsession with him. Michael won't be able to come between them now. Let him try... it won't work! Not as long as I have something to say about that ;)

Hi! Well, I'll definitely watch season four some day and put up with Elizabeth Moss. Because I totally agree, it is a well done series, moving and frightening, I just never understood that people thought Elizabeth Moss was so incredibly good - I didn't think she was that good.

This chapter: Oh gosh, I really didn't expect that and I felt like Justin: "And here I thought things would finally be quiet down and we could go back to normal" :-) - And even if I could really really do without Michael, Jenni will have to have her own experiences similar to Luke. But the outcome will be so different and that makes me very sad for Jenni. While Luke has found out that he actually has two wonderful parents, Jenni will find out that her parents are anything but wonderful... I mean, what the fuck... Mel doesn't seem to have even the slightest interest in her anymore. That's very sad and pathetic.

Looking forward to Sunday! Warmest regards!

Author's Response:

Season 4 was definitely a change of pace and different... I liked it, but I know that many people didn't. The problem with many of these shows is that they start really, really strong (as did Handmaid's Tale) and instead of stopping while they are still ahead, these shows get dragged out to make more money and sadly it shows in the quality.

Anyway, I'll continue watching, because I love the universe they have created with Gilead and all and am really intrigued (if slightly scared by the parallels to real life America right now) by it.

Normal? Sorry Kinney-Taylor family, but there will be no normal in my stories :P Well, okay...maybe in the end. But for now, we have some more drama coming up. It's been too long since we've heard from Michael. I thought people might miss him ;)

Jenni might not find out that she has two loving parents, but hopefully, she will find out that she has a loving family that will always be there for her and hopefully, in the end... that will help her move on!

Thanks for your comment. As always, it's much appreciated :) More will be up tomorrow as usual!

Hi Again! It's great that you went through the corona infection so well!

Yes, Gilead, I had to think of that too. I never would have thought that we would go backwards in certain things. By the way, I still haven't seen season 4 and now I think I should watch it all again. It's been a year, I think... but I don't know. The main actress sometimes annoyed me, or rather I found this constantly long camera angle on her face so annoying.

As for Joan and Craig... I like both portrayals of them in fanfiction and I've read fanfictions that convincingly portrayed their "transformation" into the light :-). And in the end it's fanfictions... I also like to read mpreg...

Well, this chapter. Although it was through a terrible experience, Luke finally realizes how lucky he is with his two dads. But sometimes it's not enough to be told something (as in this case for example by Jenny), sometimes you have to experience things yourself in order to understand something or to learn something from it. so, looking forward to Sunday! All the best for you and warmest regards!

Author's Response:

Yeah, thankfully it all went well!

Haha, I know what you mean about the camera angles and Elizabeth Moss. Can't exactly contradict you there. Still, I thought it was a really well done show and it is very scary to see that we are moving closer and closer to a reality like that because a small minority thinks that they have the right to ignore what the majority wants.

Well, you know I like mpreg, too, so there's that ;) Still, I prefer my Craig and Joan evil lol

I really wanted Luke to see firsthand what his fathers had gone through and wanted him to see how lucky he is by comparison. No, Brian and Justin aren't perfect, but they are good parents and love their children very much. It's good that Luke has now realised and accepted that as well :)

I have been missing for a few weeks with family issues and concerns so it was lovely to catch up a few chapters. Amazing twist to have Luke seek his homophobe grandparents out even though he was hurt and shocked he learnt a lesson. Seeing first hand the ugliness of these two awful people shone a real light on Brian and Justin and the fantastic loving parents they are

Author's Response:

I am sorry to hear about your family issues. I hope everything will be okay :)

Hello again! Oh no, I hope you you are well again and got through the last week well. I now know so many who have become infected, but fortunately (perhaps also through the vaccination) they have all survived well so far and mostly without long-Covid consequences.

Well, the meeting with both Craig and Joan went as I expected. I think I've written that before... I like fanfics in which the two "see the light" and come to their senses. I know that unfortunately there are too many people in the world who still think like those two... just totally incomprehensible to me, but what am I telling you. I'm sure you follow developments in the USA. Awful. A law is being tightened or changed instead of more education and prevention being carried out and energy being put into that. But back to your story. Well written, if sad chapter. But as I wrote before, I really hope by now Luke will come to his senses and appreciate that not only did Brian manage to change his life, but that both of his fathers faced their problems and got through them together.

Author's Response:

I was absolutely fine. I just had a very light cough (wasn't even bothering me at all) and a slightly blocked nose (not even bad enough to need nose spray) for a couple of days. If it hadn't been Covid, I wouldn't even have changed anything about my life and would have gone out as normal to go to the movies, see friends, etc. Before Covid, I wouldn't even have mentioned it to anyone, it was that light (compared to colds and flus). I guess I got really lucky! :) The most annoying thing was having to quarantine and not being able to leave my apartment when the weather was so nice outside :( I also couldn't fly home for my grandfather's birthday this weekend and had to cancel the trip as I am still officially quarantining until tomorrow :( But that was really the worst of it, thankfully!

What is happening in the US is beyond scary. Hello, Gilead! This is how it starts... What's next? Marriage Equality getting abolished? It's absolutely horrifying to see this happening in our day and age :( And everyone that now goes and says: But they said in their hearings that they wouldn't touch Roe v. Wade, they lied! Oh really? What did you expect? Because no one ever lies in a job interview, right?

I know what you mean about Craig and Joan seeing the light, but I don't know... I see both of them as so set in their views, it seems unrealistic to me that they would change that much :(

This experience will definitely help Luke to appreciate his parents more. But more on that in the next chapter :)

Thanks so much for your comment! More will be up tomorrow :) Stay safe!

Hey! Yes, that's also my favorite saying of Gandalf - I wrote it down somewhere. That's why it was so present when Gus said that... I hope you had a great time at the concert, although I have to say that Ed Sheeran doesn't exactly make the kind of music I listen to.... ;- ) But I think he performed at a benefit concert for Ukraine the other day and he recorded a song together with "Bring me the horizon". So, good guy! :-)

Thanks for another chapter! Oh Luke... what's on his mind now. But well, I can kind of understand it. I would be curious too if I were him. And if everyone reacts like Craig did, then the matter will be settled quickly and he once again knows what he has in his family and that he should be happy to have them! Wamest regards!

Author's Response:

The concert was amazing :) I love Ed Sheeran's music, love his performances and also love how well he is received in Ireland. He has an Irish grandmother, spent all his childhood summers in Ireland, has songs with very Irish background (Galway Girl, Nancy Mulligan, Castle on the Hill, etc.) and there's just a great atmosphere at his concerts here. I saw him live five times now and every time was absolutely great!

I got a little gift from the concert - I tested positive for Covid yesterday :( I guess sooner or later, it gets all of us and now it was my turn... So far I am doing alright, just a light cough, slightly blocked nose. I've had far worse colds than that. Hopefully, it'll stay that way :)

Luke...poor Luke! Rebellious, stubborn teenager at heart, off to do impulsive things without thinking them through :( We'll find out about how the meeting with Joan went in the next chapter.
