OMG! This is one of the best stories I've read.
Gus is so cute! He totally steals your heart with his cuteness and observations. Through the eyes of a child everything is so simple and easy to explain. I laughed so hard at his observations on male anatomy.
Well written and believable. The opening of each chapter with Brian's insight was brilliant! (Especially the geode comparison.) More like this please!

Moments of this chpt affected me so much with the way you have described poor gus being essentially shoved off to a complete stranger, I actually started to tear up. And by 'tear up' I mean bawl my eyes out.
Please believe that I NEVER cry when reading fanfic, so this is a first. I'm loathe to read on because I'd rather not be a complete Emo for the weekend 😢
Can I get some reassurances here, or do I need to invest in kleenex and prozac to get through this?
Oh, and obviously, loved the story.

There are very few 'sad crying parts' but there are a lot of funny things and some 'happy crying parts'.
This will be mostly a happy story.

I can't tell you how excited I am for this story, this already sounds sooooo good. I could totally picture Brian's face, his eyes rolling when he was fucking that annoying trick. And then how he completely changed when he was alone with Gus. How he knew how scared he must have been. How he could relate just a little to how scared the kid must have been - that made my heart ache.
Gus is ADORABLE omg. "Are you my daddy?" I could totally see Brian's face in my mind here too lol. Poor guy haha!
I loved Gus's description of guava juice, kids really have a way with words.

This story will be a mostly fluffy and happy with only a little angst.
Brian doesn't think he father material because of his upbringing, but his ability to try and make things better for others makes him perfect for it.
Kids can be fun to listen to, at least sometimes.
