Serious,y my need to cuddle both Brian and Justin is now intense. Is it silly I am slightly angry at Deb for not realising sooner? :(

Re-reading this because I like to torture myself and because you are amazing.

This story was phenomenal. It was heart breaking but rewarding for Brian to finally come to terms with all the secrets that you could see he was hiding and how no one noticed how vulnerable or how much of a caring person he really was. Except for Justin and a select few.

I really do appreciate your writing and the way you see Brian or Justin in your fics. I really am mesmerized by your story and I'm speechless with your work. I really admire you a lot and I'm happy you write fics with such talent... We're lucky to have you as a writer. Thank you once again for this amazing story.

Brian needed his "family" after Lindsay, Gus, and Justin all left, but they abandoned him. Bastards. They all assumed that he was so strong, but now they're all finding out that Brian isn't the brick wall they thought he was.

'The way Brian's image as the stud, the asshole, the loner was constantly reinforced, even encouraged, by his so-called friends. How they seemed to need him to be erratic, to be the lost boy in order to cement their own identities.'

That was always Brian's biggest problem, Michael being the worst offender. Brian wasn't allowed to grow up and move on because of "the family" relying on him to be THE ASSHOLE, but at the same time, they all ridiculed him for not growing up. He couldn't win either way.

Had to listen to "White Rabbit" after reading this chapter ;)

Phenominal storytelling so far, Roni. As dark as it is, I love this story so much.

Now we wait and see how many shades of Kinney there are... They're all dark, including the man himself.

"He likes people to think he is so emotionally strong, that nothing can hurt him. But that's a lie he wants others to believe. He's so very vulnerable. He hurts."

It always amazed me that none of the others in the "family" ever realized that about Brian. Justin could see it and that's why they were so good together.

You can always rely on Michael to be a selfish prick. I'm glad Sonny doesn't seem to like him...

You know something is wrong if Brian Kinney is making out with a woman. Gross!!

While watching the show and examining Brian, I always had a feeling that he had many, many secrets. I love seeing the ones you cooked up for him in this story, even if they are painful (I'm a glutton for emotional punishment!)

Does Brian have any nice alters?? They're all so full of angst.

One bad thing about being a local celebrity, of sorts: worrying about what "the people" will think when something goes wrong...

Wow, this was absolutely amazing! I love psychological angst...I was a psych major in college and I cannot believe this was your first attempt at fanfiction...I am very impressed.

I can't wait to read the rest of your stuff. I have read Appositive & An Intimate Suicide...heartbreaking but incredible!

Do you have any fantasy/vampire stories in you? lol Just a suggestion.

What an intense emotional and inspiring story. I was not surprised that Brian decided to keep his "brothers because they are all a part of  who he is. And Because Justin loves Brian "warts and all", being together is what matters. Great job and looking forward to reading some of your other postings.

excellent! love this last chapter - pulls it all together - and to the victor go the spoils

I love a Brian who is so able to love and be loved - despite enormous past pain and hurt - that he truly feels happy with his today - and hopeful for his tomorrow

And I love a story where survival is the main character!

thanks

Charle

I read in one night all the last chapters you posted this week as I couldn't stop.

It's a wonderful story, with really hard parts but in the end, Brian seems at peace.

I loved how you managed to deal with Debbie and Michael; so very true how conditional their love was. How he was able to put Debbie in front of the truth; so painful but I was so glad he did it. I won't even comment regarding Michael.

As for the girls, Melanie is at her worst and Lindsay is not quite better.

Fortunately for Brian and Justin, the new family core is as strong as needed for them to go through the hell towards a smoother environment.

You did well!!!

I was surprised you kept some of the "brothers" as Justin seemed having problems to adjust.

Not knowing if this is a reality for people suffering from this kind of disease, I guess it's made sense in your story.

I hope in the far future, the "brothers" will finally disappear, meaning Brian is at peace with his true self.

Thank you for your talent and I hope to read other stories from you soon.

Well done!!! I hope that Emmett will go and stay with Justin until Brian is out of the hospital.

I hope also that, finally, Debbie will make her son grow up and ackownledge this huge mistake, as well as Ben who will be more than willing to push this way.

Thank you for the update!
