If Lindsey finds out that Brian proposed just after they left due to her remarks, she will be upset. She really doesn't understand Justin and how much he loves Brian nor how Brian actually loves Justin.
Gus is adorable and oblivious of the tension between his mother and the visitors.

LIndsay has never really understood Brian. If she did, she would have never had Gus, trying to rope him into the "fake" marriage and 2.3 kids with picket fence. She always wanted Brian, but knew she couldn't have him, or rather a part of her brain accepted it. But the other part of her brain thought that if she could have his child, then maybe he would change. She is going to be upset and almost certainly use the reasoning that Justin will be throwing away his career.
