Lindsay was very happy that Brian convinced Justin to go to New York. She is manipulative and has always been very two faced regarding their relationship. She tells Brian that he really should tell Justin how he feels but then encourages him to push Justin to go to New York and fulfill ( her dream) of being an artist.

Justin is all but persistent: he had to ask this question again!
So glad he is remembering "them" as a "couple" and that Brian doesn't react badly to this notion as he did before.

Brian is just relieved that Justin is remembering them as a couple. He is so happy and he's not gun shy anymore.

He is remembering them as a couple. As Brian said to himself- he can handle anything now that Justin knows they are together.
