What happened to Justin was exactly what Brian was afraid of so his reaction is understandable in my opinion. Claire gave him some great advice.

I knew Justin would end up getting hurt. It's nice to have Claire there to put things in prespective and John to make sure everything is all right. Beau is there to keep things okay.
