Is it weird how much I love Penny? Can you find a way to include her in all your stories, please? It's so funny, because you know she'd be happy sleeping with or mothering Brian LOL.
I LOVE the gifts, and some of them were so thoughtful, especially the toiletries, I bet it felt really good to have a good clean after so long. MY HEART!
ALSO how fucking dare Craig blame Jennifer and Molly's death on Justin, that is despicable. Will he ever be able to get over that? :(

Justin has been treated worse than a dog by his father and always heard he was not worth anything; he also thinks his mother and sister are dead because of him.
Either his father threw him out and Justin came back in because he knew he could hide in the house or his father locked him in the hidden place, but didn't know there were other ways out. Justin may be a "sissy", but as every adventurous boy and girl, he might have played in the house while younger and found some secret door and liked to hide to get some peace. Maybe he started to "build" his nest behind the walls and decided to stay here, protected and peaceful. Maybe Craig thought it was a ghost and drunk too much to forget. Maybe Justin didn't know his father was dead and didn't want to get out of his cocoon.
The only way to get Justin out is like you do to tame a wild animal: food, trust, patience, repetitiveness and kindness.

I love how Brian is taking care of Justin, providing him with food and drink.
Very clever of Brian to find a way to get Justin to accept the ‘gifts' he left out for him.
Nice to hear more about Justin's life, just wish I could figure out why he not only stays in the walls even though Craig is dead, but why he was there to begin with. I keep wondering why he didn't just run away. I'm wondering what Craig could have done to make Justin stay.
Looking forward to much more of this story.
