A lot happening in this chapter. Have you notice that when Mel and Lindsay start talking about money is when things go downhill. And Lindsay talking with Brian first didn't exactly help. Shame they can't afford to have spa days every week. While the get-a-way sounds good, sadly I know it's not the answer to their problems. I do like the idea of giving Gus 1/2 a car.
Author's Response: Mel and Lindsay never seemed to be well suited to me, and money was always an issue.

Even when Mel enjoys things she couldn't afford, she insults Brian who is paying for their week-end. I so dislike her! They have a detailed planning and they didn't care to look at it.
Now, Mel wants to buy a new house? Do they have the money for that with Gus at the university and Jenny in high school or do they plan on asking Brian for money, once more? They are so irresponsible.
Author's Response: I can tell how much you dislike Mel. The munchers always seem happy to use Brian and then criticize him for everything he does.
