Damn! Justin and Mel squaring off. Mel is not looking like the better parent and she's sealing her fate with that as we speak.
Lindsay is no better. She's letting her wife dictate what happens.
Brian, Justin, Gus and Cameron need to work out their issues as a family without any others butting in.

Hey Star, I am seriously enjoying this new story. I know I've said this before but can't help myself. This has got to be one of the best stories you have written so far.
I love the whole AU premise in this and the way Brian and Justin meet and the fact Justin is older and not just the 'little twink that could'.
Justin is to all intets and purposes the more dominant character here and is the one who kept secrets about his previous life. Brian is the one who is wrong footed most of the time.
I love this switch in characters/personalities the most about this story. And you know I'm always partial to bit of Mikey bashing, HeHeHe! Plus my opinion of the witches in the north.
Don't know if you have ever seen 'Emerald City', but Joley Richardson's portrayal of the witch of the north definately has overtones of your portrayal of Lindsay, in a lot in your work. Refined, pure, anjelic and mean, manipulative and twisted underneath. Convincing her prey that she is only there to help and empathise with them, while stabbing them in the back. Hah! love it!
Okaaay, maybe too much vino consumed after reading that back, but heyho there you go! It's Saturday!

What a shitty mother Mel can be; she hates Brian so much that she doesn't care if Gus and Justin are hurt. Selfish bitch! And Lindsay should get a backbone for once and confront her, since she is the birth mother.
So glad Brian decided to fight and to get a new phone.

I guess Mel has forgotten that Gus is old enough to tell the Judge everything and like his father he doesn't lie and he won't hold back.
Are Mel and Lindsay really ready for this fight and the consequences??
Plus isn't Brian paying support for Jenny as well as Gus?
Michael isn't paying any support right or spending hardly anytime with Jenny???
And in custody cases a lot of truths come out that won't help Mel or Lindsay look any better than Brian or Justin.
And can't they ask for any money that wasn't directly spent on Gus to be paid back with interest?
Time to go for the jugular, I wouldn't put it past Mel to ask for more money since Gus is almost 18 and the support payments stop in less than a year???
And with the money Brian and Justin have they can afford a top notch lawyer or lawyers and a private investigator. (Unless Cynthia has thought ahead and already has the dirt?)
Brian was smart to stand by Justin and to tell Cynthia to bring him a new phone with a new number, he is making the right decision to smash his phone and to really think about the excuses he made about Michael's behavior towards Justin and his behavior towards Michael.
Brian and Justin are coming together to fight the girls and hopefully this will start to help them repair their relationship?
Plus show Gus that Brian is willing to fight anyone to protect his children.
