Just like Justin always jumping to conclusions. He should be happy that Brian didn't want to waste his time with the waiter.
As much as I dislike the usual Ethan character, this one better be one his best behavior and have the strength and patience to put up with these two.

Brian wouldn't have gone after the waiter. He simply made a statement about him being hot. He couldn't have done something like that to Justin after so many years.
Ethan will play a great role in their reconnection.

Rough moments after sort of a calm period. They are both explosive in their reactions, but Brian did start to try to rekindle their couple by doing what he thought Justin might like: walking on the beach at sunset.
