Jenny seems to have changed drastically and seems not to be a simulation.
Why is Gus so sure? I don't remember what happened before so he would know Jenny is actually serious.
Is Lindsay so reluctant because her influence is getting more obvious?

Gus's surety is explained in the next chapter and you are bang on about Lindsay like Jenny said 'nobody likes to hear the awful truth' and seeing how much Jenny has and is willing to change has upset her little world.
