Great chapter except the bashing of the "foie gras"; I understand some people could be against it, but I don't think KD is the place for this. There is way worse happening with the other types of poultry (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poultry_farming).
Back to the story, the grand-mother is great and does speak her mind. Lotti is a pest and she got what she deserved. Gardner will have to find another playmate.
The last meal was surprising, but it did the trick!
Tuscany should be very interesting.

This chapter was so much fun to write. And yes, that inculdes the foie gras speech.
I, as the writer of said speech, never meant it as a political speech/statement.
I'm more than well aware of the horrible things going on in the bio industry.
I sasw this speech as a means to push back at Snotty Lotti for she needed that in a major way. For let's be fair, the way she treated Justin was such bad for
The speech was also meant as a tool to show how passionate Justin can be.
So, as the write of this speech I feel in no way obliged to apologize for my point of view.

Let me tell you, it was loads of fun to write Snotty Lotti.
She is based on one of my bullies in high school.
Through this character I finally got a chance to get rid a lot of frustration, anger and sadness from my years in high school.
We, as the authors, are too looking forward to Italy and Deb's dinner. Fun is to be had.
