Justin knew that he was in trouble; at least with his mom. And apparently yes, Brian bought the diner; that was a surprise even to me until I wrote it. Brian does take good care of those he loves though. Hence the lemon bars.

LOL! He appreciated them the next morning. Sadly for poor Brian, Justin was asleep when he got home. Justin is very lucky he is so well loved because Brian might have killed him that night.

Brian's rep was ruined long ago, but a disheveled Brian is still hot.
He needed a talk with his "ma". It helps to keep things calm. Yeah he's onto her, to all of them. Always pays to stay a step ahead.
Now getting those lemon squares home to Justin, he's probably fast asleep and doesn't want them any longer. Ha!

Brian was without a doubt very sexy with his bed head and everyone was staring out of envy; but he is also very self-conscious and likely thought they were critiquing him. And we all need ma once in a while to keep our heads straight. LOL! The funny thing is that’s how I intended on the vignette ending. Brian coming back and finding Justin asleep on the couch. But then that moment with Deb happened and the rest seemed superfluous.

Great chapter with Brian and Debbie: quite rare when she doesn't pull an "asshole" moment.
Brian with a bed head can be sexy, but in this case it must be the opposite, even if it's quite impossible.bIt's funny how he fears to see Justin appear for his sweets.

Well, she'll still have her asshole moments; she is Deb still. And Brian was definitely sexy, and I like to think that they were all staring because they were jealous that none of them could pull off that level of sexy when they've just rolled out of bed. But Brian does have a skewed view of himself, so I can see him being self-conscious if he isn't one hundred percent, perfectly coiffed.
