Amazing! Brian is brilliant, angry beyond words, but brilliant. So glad that Emmett was with him to make a buffer and a human shield between Brian and Debbie.

Thanks! There is something very compelling and beautiful about an angry Brian. He really does not pull punches. And there is Em again, being a good friend. He's actually had a bigger role than I was planning, but I'm likingit as Em has always been my favorite character.

Oh, he definitely does; but right now, Brian is genuinely afraid he might kill Mikey. And that wouldn't be good because then he'd be in prison and Justin would be very pissed off at him.

Not as explosive as I thought it would be.....more a slow burn but still it definitely delivered. Afterwards I realized it's just the right tone at the right time. There will be no remorse from Michael. He will be his normal stupid self and push Brian to a point of no return.
Brian is only partially right about the reasons for Michael's jealousy. It's not that Justin is having a baby it's that he's having Brian's child and that he's married to the one man Michael has always wanted. Michael is not sorry for what he did and it will happen again....next time Brian will not hesitate to absolutely ruin him.
Brian telling how painful and scary it is to fear losing your unborn child had me wishing that he snapped and choked Michael out. ðŸ˜.
Ben will find a way to excuse the inexcusable.... Deb will find a way to blame Brian. And Emmett will remain a flawless being. I love, love, love your AU version of Ted, Carl and Emmett.

There were a lot of reasons for handling it the way I did. First of all, typically, Brian is not a physically violent person. He did punch Michael that one time; and it was rightfully deserved. But it also took a pretty heinous comment for him to snap like that. I mean seriously, how many people would have left a comment like that to only one punch? Brian genuinely fears becoming like his father; so that thought tempers his actions quite a bit.
But more than that, he has just spent a full day with his husband in the hospital; Justin is a wreck - he's anxious, and panicked and his blood pressure, while not at a detrimental level yet, was a definite cause for concern. On top of that, they learned from the doctors that the high blood pressure meds that are safe for pregnancy, Justin can't take because he's allergic to them. He is stung out, enraged and fucking terrified for both his husband and unborn child. And if he had punched Michael, he wouldn't have stopped. He would have kept on going until he exorcized some of his demons. And that would have led to a whole other nasty mess that the boys don't need right now.
Justin needs him there at his side; not in prison.
But this has only pushed it off for now; Mikey will get what's coming to him. All in good time. :)

I didn't feel that physical violence was the best response right now; Justin needs him. And if Brian had thrown a punch, it wouldn't have ended there. Not when he was still riding the fear of learning that both Justin and Sunbeam could be so adversely affected by the high blood pressure if it didn't come down. It is definitely not something to mess with. It doesn't mean that Mikey won't get a beat down at some point.

Banishing him really is the only thing that Mikey will get in the end; if Brian were to continue talking to him after this, it would be a big fuck you to Justin and make Mikey believe that he can get away with anything he says.

Wow!!!! Brian is so HOT!!! I love that he didn't back down and accept Michael's apology like he would have in the past. I do hope that once Debbie finds out she doesn't get upset with Brian. She needs to understand part of the reason Michael is the way he is is due to her mothering.
I love that Emmett and Brian were like a team. It's true, he is one of the few who will stand up to Deb.
Great chapter. You definitely didn't disappoint.

Thanks! I'm happy you liked it! Protective, pissed off Brian is fun to write. Yeah, that was an important and needed happening at this point. Had Brian caved and accepted Michael's apology, it would have been a huge slap in Justin's face. I don't think they'd be able to come back from it. Thankfully that was never in the picture, because once Sunbeam was threatened, Brian was ready to go on the warpath.
Deb...will likely be Deb; but hopefully she'll also learn from it. She needs to face the fact that Michael has issues and she needs to stop solving his problems for him, and expecting others to do so as well.
Em is shping up to be one of my favorites in this universe; well, actually he's always one of my favorites anyways. But I do love the friendship that is emrging between him and Brian. :)

Oh wow! Marvellous! But I was rather hoping for at least one punch or maybe a restraining order. But then again, Michael is unlikely to do as he's told and will feel entitled to contact his 'best friend' again, so maybe a restraining order could still be on the cards? Also looking forward to Deb & Ben and prob Lindsay putting in their 2 cents. No doubt Brian will be putting them straight (excuse the pun) as well. Looking forward to it!
As it is unlikely the little shit is going to confess giving someone the code, I would hope when they capture the stalker that he confesses to this, so that Brian will have another reason to go after poor widdle Mikey.

Thanks! I held back on the punch because I geniunely felt that Brian was so far beyond pissed off at the moment, that he would do more than just punch him and that would lead to a whole lot of nasty that the boys do not need. Plus, I'm sure Em spent quite a bit of time trying to bring Brian's temper down to a simmer because he didn't need to be sitting in a jail cell when Justin needed him.

Em is the best! And I'm glad you liked it; I was a little worried people would be disappointed that Brian didn't hit him. But at this point, it just didn't fit. First he is so beyond pissd off that he was genuinely worried he couldn't stop. And outside the one time he punched Michael, he's not a physically violent person. He prefers to cut someone down with his words.
