So glad Blake became the sensible one in the family. He and Ted would be great fathers. As for character witnesses he can't do better than Brian and Emmett.
A little bit of stewing won't hurt. Waiting for everything to be finalized will give them time to fix a room up for him and to think of a name.

Not everyone is able to handle the reality of having a special needs child. And if they can't, it's better to let the child go so that it can be loved and cared for by someone willing to take on the responsibility than to have the child neglected and not encouraged to reach their full potential.
Ted will have the best character witnesses he can get.
They will be able to get the child before the adoption is final.
