Mel is still a bitch and a mean one; I understand that, as a parent, she fears to see her daughter doing what she did herself: transgressing the rules; that's what most of teens, kids, young adults will do, no matter what. Her words to Brian are hurtful while he just tries to avoid Jenny not resenting her. I love hating Mel!
