Hi! Another great, but terrible chapter! Great because of your writing style and because it's really exciting, terrible because it's just so sad and hurtful in content. Poor Brian. And you couldn't say it better: "With friends like that, who needed enemies?" I mean, the two of them were already impossible in the show and not exactly what you would think of as best friends, but with this action they have really outdone themselves. Sad and also dangerous how far these two go in their pathological mentality. I don't know all that well, but isn't it even possible that the Office can decide to take a child out of a home immediately? And in some cases that will be maybe absolutely the best for the child. But to imagine, they could have taken Luke away... One the other hand, are such intended false statements not punishable then already?

I feel very sorry for Brian. To be so betrayed by his "friends". On the other hand - similar to Lindsay and Michael - he also lives in his created reality in which he couldn't or hadn't allow any other truth. What I mean by that, he wouldn't have had to go through this situation alone... Tragic and so sad. And then he lets himself be lulled by Lindsay again... Apparently she apologizes to him soon, just to set this further trap.

Even though it's a terrible and sad chapter, this scene of Brian caring for Luke after he woke up is just so cute and beautiful... Warmest regards!

Author's Response:

I am glad you liked the chapter, even though the content was so painful :/

Poor Brian indeed :(

Yes, it is possible to have a child taken away from its parents and that was definitely what Lindsay and Michael seem to have been aiming for. They wanted Luke taken away, so that Brian could return to being the Stud of Liberty Avenue :/

No, there is no need for Brian to go through this alone. If only he would have told Justin... They could have faced the two best friends together as a united front. But alas... we wouldn't have the Back for Good story then :P

More will be up soon :)

OMG!  This chapter was so, VERY good.  Yeah... Who needs enemies.  There's so much going through my mind right now...  I guess I'm trying to figure out how the kidnapping could come about after this chapter.  Why would Brian ever trust Lindsay back into his home to watch Luke, just to see Michael?  I'm sure you will let us know though. I feel so bad for Brian, even though I know Brian would hate that comment...  hehe.  I can't wait to hear Ted's view on what just took place.  Michael... what a stupid explanation.  I'm very surprised Ben didn't divorce on him account of this, instead of waiting until after the kidnapping. What will Debbie's reaction to Michael be, when she sees him? Or, will this be the starting point of her defending Michael?   Lindsay... hmm... very bad idea of her actions. Did she think Brian would be happy threatening him withholding Gus? I can hardly wait for the chapter where the parental rights are brought up, and after that the Bank of Kinney, I hope will remail closed. Let them suffer for her actions. If they can't make ends meet, too bad. Just one more thing he has holding over their heads. He can still provide for Gus, through Ted, only having Ted paying directly to where the money goes, instead of them directly.  Anyway, them not even apologizing, has to be almost worse than the accusation. And, Mel... still no word from her. I'm sure we will get some reaction from her when the parental rights situation comes up, and maybe we can learn her feelings on this whole situation.  How much is she aware of? Oh, and Mother Taylor is bound to be pissed, and I can't imagine her standing by saying nothing.  Okay...  this is one AWESOME story.  Your writing is so good.  Thank you for updating so frequently. I check several times a day looking for another chapter, I love the story that much.

Author's Response:

I am glad you liked the chapter :)

Why would Brian ever trust Lindsay again? Hmmm, good question, that will be answered soon!

As for Ben: It was important that he heard this, so he knows how far his husband was willing to go. But I guess as in many cases, love can make blind...

The parental rights issue will come up soon and then we'll also hear from Mel. We'll find out a lot more in upcoming chapters, that's for sure :/

Thanks for your comment - I really appreciate it. More will be up soon :) I always update on Sundays and Wednesdays :D

To think this was only the beginning of Michael and Lindsay's manipulations.

Author's Response:

Yes, there is sadly more and worse to come :/

We'll find out soon how far those two would go :(

Powerful!!! The tension is getting high and Brian has some support with Carl and Ben. Debbie will always support her son, at least in the beginning.

Lindsay is an awful person: she dares saying that Brian can't close the bank or Gus won't be able to live; as if she couldn't work and get some money to support the kids she wanted to have! What a bitch!

Author's Response:

Yes, the tensions are rising... Debbie will need time to really see Michael for who he is :(

Yes, I couldn't agree more about Lindsay...

More will be up soon! Lets see what the demented twins come up with next ;)
