Hi again! , Finally, here's my review! First an answer to your last answer. I can only totally agree with everything you've said about Blake. I also like him very much and I was very glad that they've let him return in the show at some point. And also in a much more matured way. His character had made a great development. But to be honest, no one could get my attention like Brian and Justin and after seeing the whole show for the first time, I thought about not being able to watch the whole show again and so I did something very very crazy. I made my own film and cut only the scenes together in which Brian and Justin are seen. Now, I've outed myself... Totally crazy, I know, but who cares. :-) So this is also, why I can't say so much about Ted. At the end of the show they also let him made a great development and I loved to see that Brian and Ted developed some kind of real good friendship with real trust, but to be honest, I wasn't so much interested in his character. But I really like your Ted and how he cares about Brian and also Luke.

I still feel so sorry and sad for Brian. He deserves some quietness. Terrible, that he's to endure another barking from Debbie. She is really totally out of her mind to ask Brian for the money for the bail. How crazy! I am very curious how you will get these two back together!

Mel... I'm totally disappointed. I must admit, I like those stories where she is at some point able to recognizes Lindsay's behavior as the bullshit it is and forms some kind of friendship with Brian. But this is your story and your Mel. But I'm really wondering what she's thinking when she tries to ban Gus from seeing Brian anymore. Although, in my opinion it's totally unjustified, from her point of view, it's somehow clear that she wants to hurt Brian. She's very hurt and blames the wrong person. But it's clear that trying to keep Brian and Gus apart, will hurt Gus as much - and that's not only cruel, but pathetic and inexcusable.

Jennifer - what can I say... I'm really happy for Brian that Jennifer is there for him, cares for him, helps him through this. But honestly, I somehow couldn't develop sympathy for her in this chapter. I still can't accept her behavior in terms of Justin... I just can't help myself. Everyone seems to have accepted cutting Justin out off this so easy. And just while i'm thinking about this... What's with Molly? Haven't they - Jennifer or Molly - both seen Justin in all those five years? Don't get me wrong, I love your story and i've accepted the facts as they are, but sometimes it still hits me and then I just miss Justin so much in all of this... Looking forward to tomorrow! Warmest regards!

Author's Response:

Once again, thanks for your amazing comment :)

Wow, that film must have taken you hours and hours to create! I have to admit that I couldn't watch a version like that. I would miss characters like Ted, Emmett and even Drew and Blake too much. I loved their storylines (at times!) and loved those characters and not seeing them would feel like missing something big to me.

We'll see about Brian and Debbie later on in the story, but lets say he won't just forgive her after saying "I am sorry", that's for sure...

As for Mel - I don't really know what to make of her character at times. Stories where she sees Lindsay for who she really is and becomes Brian's friend somehow feel alien to me. Yes, I can see why the authors would have gone down that way, but to me she and Brian just disliked each other too much. Yes, we saw moments on the show where they were nice to each other, but a lot of times that was initiated by Brian (like when Gus was at the hospital and they wouldn't let Mel go with him because she was not his biological parent). I can't really think of many times where Mel would have done something nice for Brian or been nice to Brian. Even when she helped him on the Kip Thomas thing she was snarky and bitchy and probably only did it because Brian paid her. I just never really liked her on the show because in my opinion she has been very unfair to Brian, blaming him for things that were Lindsay's doing. I guess that bled into this story *lol*

Jennifer has seen Justin in those five years. It has already been mentioned shortly before that Brian knew from her about Justin's career, but we'll also hear more about that later. As for Molly - she was hardly part of the show and her and Justin never seemed really close, so I honestly didn't quite know how to portray her and decided to do what the show did and leave her out of it. Lets just assume she did what her mother told her to do or something ;)

And I can totally understand about your feelings towards Jennifer when it comes to Justin - what she did is unexcusable for a mother!

More will be up tomorrow :)

Great update.  Now I can ad Mel to my least favorite people list.  Love this story.

Author's Response:

Yes, at the moment she is right up there with Lindsay and Michael :(

I am glad you're enjoying the story. More will be up soon :D

I know I've already left my rant/review for this chapter, but thought I would express some things I'd like to see in this story. I really hope you won't be upset with me for doing this, it is your story after-all. I've never done this before, so I hope you realize how invested in this story I am.

I hope Ben and Hunter show Brian support throughout the trial and in the courtroom.

During the custody battle when Mel brings up Brian's past, (which we know she will, as it's a classic Mel move), I hope Brian's lawyer brings up Mel's past of posing nude in a men's magazine. (as it will show that the past is just that... the past)

I hope Brian gets a restraining order against Debbie. It will allow Carl to see what his wife has been up to, and how she treated Brian when she went to Britin. Itwould also not allow her to confront Brian again.

And, I REALLY hope we get a chapter from Lindsay and Michael's POV's, where they relive the receiving of the DNA results, and their subsequent arrests.

Sorry again for sticking my nose in your story. :)

Author's Response:

As much as I like reading suggestions and ideas, I have to say that the story is already finished and has been for months :)

It always excites me to see reader's thoughts, but I don't want to get anyone's hopes up: I am not one of the authors that looks for suggestions and uses them in the stories. Stories are always finished before I start posting and as much as I might like someone's suggestions, I am not making any changes anymore once a story has been finished.

Having said that: Reading someone's ideas and suggestions would never make me upset - no worries :) Like I said, I love reading what readers think and I love hearing their ideas and where they want the story to go. So thanks for sharing your ideas :D I can say that some of it will happen - maybe not in ways you think, but it will!

I hope that in the end you can live with my creation as well ;)

So very happy it's Wednesday! I noticed the difference in the number of reviews between this story and, 'Back for Good'. Although 'Back for Good' is ten chapters further than this story, I don't understand such a huge difference of reviews. This story, IMO, is so much better. Although, 'Back for Good' has really taken on a positive storyline now, people who aren't reading this one, are really missing out on such a magnificent story. But that said...

I reread Chapter 20 to really get in the mood for this chapter, although I knew everything it had to relate.  So very happy Jennifer came out to Britin and had a serious talk with Brian, and got him to believe he's not at fault for his feelings towards Michael and Debbie. And showing her support of him, and her love of him. He really needed that.

Once again, Thank God for Ted! (and Blake). For Ted to be able to look at the situation and take charge when Brian is clearly too upset and suffering from everything that has happened. He did so very good.  “Stephen Watson. He's widely considered to be the best family lawyer on the East Coast and hasn't lost a custody case so far. Thank you, Ted.  Thank you for being a true best friend!

Melanie... My god! What a bitch! How dare she treat Brian and Gus like this? After everything Brian has done for them, and as much as Gus loves him... Doesn't she realize how this would affect Gus, and how he would turn on her? Looking so forward to Brian's lawyer shredding her. As I said before, Brian should have sent the FBI to pick her up, telling her she was under suspicion for kidnapping. There was no way she could have proved she wasn't. Although, if her and Lindsay were separated, I can understand better how Lindsay was able to get away and go to Pittsburgh so frequently. Glad to see Lindsay was denied bail.

Debbie... That woman is insane! Again, trying to guilt Brian. And demanding he pay for a lawyer for Michael, in a courtroom, no less. It's funny that they couldn't have arrested her for spewing all those curse words in a courtroom. Couldn't they see she was harrassing him? If I was Brian, I would have had her arrested on that reason. Why was Carl not at the arraignment? Just so you know, I felt cheated by not hearing about Lindsay's reaction to the DNA results and the arrest of the two ignoramus'. It would have made for a great read.

Glad to hear Ben turned his back on Debbie for the bail money, but why didn't she plead her case to Carl for his help? I know Carl wouldn't help her, but I would have liked to have seen him put her in her place :)

This story is so frickin awesome! Thank you for writing it and sharing it with us to read. So looking forward to Sunday...

XOXO ~ Cathy

Author's Response:

Actually it was Sunday ;) Wednesday is coming up and will bring the next chapter :D

I think a lot of people didn't get interested in this story because it very obviously doesn't feature any Brian/Justin. It was clear from the beginning that they wouldn't be in this story together and that it would only be Brian and the Pittsburgh crew and I think that might have been off-putting to some readers.

I am glad that you like this story however and for everyone who is reading it even though it doesn't feature our favourite couple :)

Yes, Jennifer did exactly what Brian needed - she did right here :)

Ted is an amazing friend - we all would be lucky to have a Ted in our lives. I love the man - can't help it :D

Melanie - well, she'll find out soon that trying to take away Brian's son from him comes with a price...

Carl was probably busy with Pittsburgh PD stuff - but no worries, he will be at the trial :) And who knows that she didn't ask Carl for help and he already said no? Carl's not a big Michael fan at the moment...

I am glad you're enjoying this story so much :) More will be up soon!

I can't wait to see how Mel is going to be burnt by Brian's lawyer. How dares she traumatize Gus like this? Just to get even with Brian because her life is ruined?

Author's Response:

Mel is a bitch :/ At least in this story...

And yes,  Brian's lawyer is going to go in for the kill - he's not going to be nice. Try to take away Brian's sons and he will stop playing nice!

More will be up soon :)

Still loving this!

You haven't mentioned the DNA results being back, but I assume they must have been at this stage, otherwise the FBI/DA woiuldn't have formally charged them.

I would like to see Lindsay in custody, aswering questions and having her dellusions shattered! And where is Carl in all this surely he should be keeping Debbie away from Brian and further assaults on his person!

Great writing, can't wait for more!

Thanks

Deb

Author's Response:

Hi, thanks for your comment :)

I haven't mentioned the DNA results yet as they're not back yet. It was mentioned earlier that it would take 3-5 days for them and we're only on the third day yet. And yes, they would have been charged as Michael admitted to having been a part in Lindsay's kidnapping attempt. Michael therefore implicated Lindsay as well and that confession would have been enough to arrest him and get a warrant on Lindsay as well. After all the DNA test was only done because she had a witness on her side supporting her story. Now that that witness has been proven to be a liar and has admitted to having helped kidnap Luke, the DNA test is only a formality at this point.

As for Carl, unfortunately the Pittsburgh PD has more cases that he is directly involved in that need him :( But we'll see more of him during the trial :)

More will be up soon :)
