wow!!! what a rollercoaster of emotions. Such a beautiful written story, I couldn't stop reading it, and didn't want it to stop. It seems so realistic (not that I know…) and so fit to Brian character.

I love angst stories like that. Stories that shows the difficulties and hard road to stability, love and happiness, and well written as well. Unfortunately there are not so many of them out there, so those stories like this are pretty rear. thanks for writing it.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much! <3 I'm so glad that it resonated with you. I'm a lover of angst as well, if that wasn't already obvious...ha. I love it when I'm so into a story that I don't want to stop, and I'm honored that mine did that for you. Thank you for reading and taking the time to comment!

Well, Brian and Deb at the end had me in fucking tears <3

It's 1 am, I wanna finish this, but I need to go to bed, you're killing meeeeeeeeeee!

Author's Response:

Me too. I cried when I wrote that part. *sniff* Fanfic over sleep, that's what I always say...heh.

I feel so fucking proud of Brian and how far he's come. How - even with a little pushing, he opened up to Justin.

Your writing is PHENOMENAL!

Author's Response:

Wow, you're a fast reader! :) Thank you! I'm really happy that you're loving the story. It invoked so many emotions in me writing it, and I can see that it's doing the same for you as the reader.

Brian and Ted's friendship has always been a huge love of mine, so reading their little talk made me SO happy. Even though Ted hasn't gone through what Brian had, he's had a lot happen to him and I think he understands why Brian needs and wants to move. I hope Justin is okay with it. Argh, I need to go to bed soon lol

Author's Response:

I love their friendship too, and that's why I wanted to invoke it here. The way their relationship turned out by the end of S5 was great. "Anything...for a friend?" Apologies for keeping you up too late. ;) I know the feeling well! haha

I THOUGHT HE'D WANT TO MOVE - and now we know how much he likes the city!!!!!

This was really heartbreaking reading Michael and Deb's experience after the accident, you wrote Deb PERFECTLY.

I just want to cuddle Brian so much in this. Not because of his accident, but the way he's coping and trying to discover who he is now he isn't the stud!

Author's Response:

Thank you! I knew that watching the series way too many times would come in handy someday! ;) I am loving your reviews. I can't wait to see what you think of the rest.

This story is making me have all the feels. Justin was so right at the end, it's probably him that's judging himself more than anyone else, and he needs to try and let that go. But it won't be easy. I love seeing this softer side of Brian though.

Author's Response:

Aww <3 This was a really fun and interesting version of Brian to write. I don't want to let him go.

I had made sure to stay away from anyone talking about this story because I wanted to be surprised, and boy, I was NOT expecting that. I love this side to Brian though. It's sort of like it's grounded him a little maybe? And the fact that Justin was bashed and can relate somewhat to how he felt afterward must have helped Brian a little.

Author's Response:

It's definitely had a huge effect on him...as you will see later. ;) I am so, so happy you're reading this now! And that you managed to remain unspoiled.

Please tell me you are gonna do a little follow up with them getting married... I figure with them it would be a small thing, but I'd love to see your take on it...

great story!!!!!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much! I've been loving reading your reviews as you went along. I'm seriously considering a sequel, but I want to wait a bit because my life is about to get busier in a couple of weeks, and I know I wouldn't be able to keep up the pace I did with this one, at least not for a while. Thanks again for reading and reviewing. I'm glad you enjoyed the story.

such a tough road Brian has... I really like how you are weaving in what we knew all along... he was always insecure (ok not about work) and vulnerable, but he always was able to just put on the Stud persona and nobody looked behind the mask... I appreciate him actually seeing that now

Author's Response:

The complexity of Brian’s character is why I love him so much. There is far more beyond the surface than what he wants others to see, and Gale Harold portrayed that so well. There’s a broken little boy under all of that bravado.

the biggest key is communication... they are trying, but always a work in progress... I have confidence they help each other in just the way needed and the way nobody else can :)

So beautifully written that I felt emotionally connected to Brian on his journey of discovery and acceptance of this life he never expected.  I'm sad to read this last chapter but it was the perfect ending for a wonderful story.  I hope to read many more stories from you in the future :)

Author's Response:

Thank you <3 I hope to write many more as well! I’m glad you feel I did it justice in the end.

Yes!!!! I’m not a Michael fan, but I actually LIKE this Michael lol... I definitely want Brian to move to NYC

Author's Response:

Haha...I’m so glad I was able to win you over with my Michael. ;) It was risky to bring in his POV because so many people don’t like him, but no one else could tell that part of the story.

I love this story... Justin is helping Brian see who his IS... which is fantastic, even without the wheelchair... I think Justin was always the one who could do this.

Author's Response:

I agree. Justin always saw through the facade.

This was a fantastic story.  You did a wonderful job of explaining and sharing what it is like to become paraplegic.  Justin's love for Brian is palpable, but the despair and despondency that Brian worked through was felt through your excellent story telling. You should be very proud of you first work and I'm so excited that you decided to run with the idea and make it a story.  Hopefully, there are many plot bunnies in your head to continue on more stories.

Author's Response:

Thank you for the wonderful compliments. I truly appreciate it. Writing this was definitely an emotional journey. I’m really happy to see it so well received.

Amazing story and this last chapter is a great closure for many points in Brian's life. It's also the beginning of a new part of his life and he is willing to jump in.

Author's Response:

Thank you <3 I'm glad you've enjoyed it -- thanks for reading!

I haven't had the chance to read any stories in months (dammit I've missed it lol)... This is my first story (first chapter) in a LONG time... omg, soooo good!  I was scared it was Brian's cancer back, but am relieved it wasn't.

One chapter in and already hooked.! :)

Author's Response:

I'm honored you decided to start with mine. I definitely know how it is when life gets in the way! Thanks for reading - I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of the rest of the story.
