God, this kills me every time. Every damn time. And I read it again and again. Even in this day and age people still live in this kind of fear, in the shadows and in the dark. I am humbled every single day by the bravery and courage of those who faced (and still face) death,disfigurement, ostracization simply because of who they are, who they love.
