Me! Me! Me! I actually had the chance to run some gels in a summer program at Rutgers University about 8 years ago. I was an advisor for some students who were enrolled in senior Molecular Biology the following September at our HS. They were trying to sequence the genome of a local freshwater algae. It was great fun! I was only a fill-in for the regular Molecular Bio teacher, but it was my first - and only - experience with gel electrophoresis. They certainly didn't have those kinds of labs when I was in school!
I feel bad for the girls... they are both so in love with their Dads. I can understand how they feel a bit betrayed. Brian & Justin had better be prepared!

The pieces are coming together very nicely. I don't think our boys even know about their other daughter. I hope they find Lizette quickly so they can get her side of the story. Maybe she was a cunning woman & tricked them somehow. I want to know when & how our boys split up & why they couldn't get their heads out of their asses & make their family work. Hmmmm the plot thickens.

Nope not a science nerd so this was quite interesting it certainly provides the evidence the girls needed. I feel impatient waiting for the chapters lol

Wonderful chapter. I usually come to some conclusion about where a story is going, but you have me on this one. Why did they split, why the secrets??? Guess you will tell us when the time is right. Absolutely love this story and your amazing writing.

I see two main possibilities:
1-they had a major disagreement and they split up on their own; maybe because they couldn't live together; maybe one or both of them cheated; maybe Mickey did try to get Brian back; maybe they didn't agree on the way to bring their daughters up; maybe the surrogate thing brought up bad feelings between these two
2-Justin had to go to LA for work and the long distance relationship didn't work, once again
I can't wait to see how the girls are going to deal with their fathers. Emmett could help a lot about the past as he might have been a witness to all the nasty that happened.
