I just loved this first chapter. Brian being supportive and loving to Justin and giving him a chance to let his feelings out safely was beautiful. I cried a lot reading this. Hopefully there will be a lot more very soon. This is an amazing story.

Ethan needs to be punched in the throat, as does Hobbs! Beyond the physical abuse from the dumb jock, the mental and emotional abuse he suffered at the hands of Ethan, really demands some type of recourse. I know between the two of them, they will probably come up with something.
I love the fact that they are having a kind of mini-vacation. Hopefully, they find time on the flight back (or to Canada) to establish ground rules tailor-made to them. As for Michael, I still can't wait for him to get his! Mel will probably fight the idea that Michael is a vindictive little runt, but how can she dispute the undeniable truth of Justin's existence. I mean, shouldn't she possibly be able to look up police records OR call and ask one of her contacts in the precinct nearest Brian's loft to verify what she's told. In my opinion, she should have started by questioning just WHY Michael called to 'tattle' and what purpose it would have served for him to do so. But ahh, that's just me, who is naturally suspicious of people's motives.

Yes, a mini-vacation sounds nice, and they'll just be hitting to highlights this time. Maybe next time they'll have time for a nice, long relaxing vacation. I'd like to think Mel and Lindsay might be somewhat reasonable in this fic, but Mel of course will still have an attitude, and hold a grudge against Brian. I enjoyed this chapter immensely. I like this Brian. It was really sweet of Brian to have Justin enjoy his time in Italy making new happier memories. Hopefully all his old memories or the chin rat will desinerate into nothingness.
There's not much Brian can do about the residual effects of the bashing except be there when just needs him. Whether to talk or to listen.
So glad the fiddler got to see just who he was replaced by as his moneytrain walked away from him.

Or at least be there for him as he works through his insecurities from the bashing, and his abusive relationship. And so the beginning started. A loving trust. Thank you for filling in the back story of how Brian came to be in Florence and how he knew where Justin was. And I'm so glad he did. It was just what the two of them needed.
The next question is how long will they stay in Italy? Will they be there long enough to do some damage to Ethan's life, or will they leave right away and head to Toronto to deal with Mel and Lindz?
So happy you've stated this sequel. I'm very happy with the start...

They'll only be in Italy long enough to see the sights.Then they'll be off to Toronto to see Gus, and deal with his mothers... So happy you're enjoying the second part of the sequel...
