It is great that everyone's having a good time.  I can't believe Ben is still holding out hope for Michael ,but maybe he will get help.

The boys making sure Jenny got a day that was special just for her it Beyond Sweet!

They wanted their sister to know that they are her pain but want her to feel just as special as them, cause they are surrounded by people who want them all to be happy and feel loved.

Hunter got through to Michael At Long Last!

He is finally stepping up and getting help for his problems and he is seeing how his words effect others and his actions have everyone wanting to avoid him.

Time for Grown Up Michael to make an appearance

Thanks for the Update:)

Damn shame that Hunter had to give Michael a clue about him being a DOOFUS! Just goes to show that to some people common sense ain't common at all...SMH Hopefully the therapist can help him, or I have a feeling that the therapist will need their own shrink by the time he/she finishes talk to Michael.

I LOVE that all the boys got together and told Brian that Jenny wanted to go to Sea World. Those little guys are such gems and add a wealth of meaning to every life they touch. I love the fact that they see Jenny as their sister, and not just 'Mel's daughter'.

The talk with Ben and Jenny almost broke my heart. They are both hurting in such different ways but from the same source. I'm glad that they've established that no matter what happens with Michael, they still have each other.

The banter between all of the adults is so special. Mel and Brian have indeed come a long way, as have Justin and Lindsay. It's good that she's finally settled in herself that she can allow Justin to shine, and he and Brian to liive their lives without feeling as though she has to keep up with the Taylor-Kinneys. I think it has taken a very heavy load off of Mel's shoulders, allowing her to relax at long last.

I really do LOVE this story, StarBaby! It's such a feel good fic, and I look forward to delving into each chapter.

HAPPY WRITING and HUGS,

~Nichelle

Great chapter.  Maybe Hunter is finally getting Mikey to see what he does is wrong.  Absolutely love "It's a Small World".  When I lived in Fl. and went to Disney, we rode it several times a day.  Now I am humming the tune.  LOL

What a fun time everyone is having, even Brian.  It's a shame when a son has to point out to his parent why he's being discluded.  And a shame when the father wants the son to tell him how to fix it.  Mikey is so clueless. Or maybe not.

Jennifer is so mean: Brian is gonna have this song in his head for hours!

The kids are great: they found their place in the family and dare talking about what is on their mind.

I love this story so much.  A happy Brian makes me a happy person.  And, a miserable Mikey makes me even happier.  Great writing.

The kids are happy which makes me happy.  It's nice that the boys want Jennifer to be happy too.

I so love that Billy went to get one of his dad's when he needed to talk and that now the late night talking and eating is a Boyd-Honeycutt Thing.

Max is so Adorable!

Him waiting outside his dad's door to see and talk to them then falling asleep is just so Cute!

I feel for Jenny who should be having her own quality with her daddies too but until Michael finally grows up she will feel left out.

Michael gave a great allusion of a grow up but he is a child who continuously expects everyone to take care of him and fix all his screw ups, everyone else grew up and Michael is far behind and refuses to catch up, he is lucky Justin gives him a minute cause with his previous behavior he wouldn't get an eyeroll of recognition for breathing without assistance.

Emmet kissing Jennifer instead of Drew was so Funny and Jennifer's pay back to Brian was Superb!

Thanks for the Update :)

What Ben sees in all his friends is the little qualities Michael shows only for the praise while these men are like this and don't need praise to be Happy.

Michael is whiny because he doesn't like change, but every second of every minute of every hour is change, so that crutch can be retired now, it isn't change that Michael resents its anyone usurping his place that has his acting like a child who has been denied his favorite toys, he resented Justin for stealing his spotlight and now years later he resents these sweet kids for doing it too.

Ben can make a thousand Pros and Cons list but it won't change that Michael is used to pouting to get his way and now no one is running to make him feel better or fix his problems, the heart may want Michael but Ben's brain and instincts are telling him to ditch the little weasel.

Michael is so selfish he doesn't care that he is  his hurting Jenny and his actions is making her grow up too fast, Ben should listen to Drew and just have fun with Jenny Michael will still be there when they get home.

Brian may detest everything Disney Amusement Park Fun but he is willing to put that aside to make sure Max and Gus are having fun, Justin is man enough to accept his punishment with a smile and a slight limp lol

Emmett and Drew will enjoy their day together just as soon as they get back to their sons <giggles>

Hunter should be there but he is probably going to try one more time to get through to Michael, who is either ready to admit it's time to grow up for real this time or will there be more pouting and whining?

Thanks for the Update. Happy New Year:)

Sounds like the Disney trip is coming along. You simply must get Brian out on a ride. It's no fair Emmett is having all the fun. Besides, Em needs a break. He needs his feet on the ground for a while. Just think how much Billy would love having his Buddy to hang around with. I guess we didn't get to hear about Disney from the boys' POV. I can see a wide-eyed Billy and Colton so very well.

Michael must not have taken the conversation in the diner to heart. He was told point blank they didn't want him around their kids. Yet he's upset he's not there. But he needs to realize that his daughter needed a father there, too. Hence the reason Ben is there.

Poor Ben. He's got a case of - What's the old adage - The Heart Wants What The Heart Wants. - You simply cannot just decide to stop loving somebody, no matter how hopeless.  And dear lord - Michael is a hopeless cause. He's forty-five and acts more of a child than Billy. Grow up Michael - or Go Away. Let people be happy. Does he plan to be a manchild until the day he dies? If he don't change - and soon - he's got many years of lonliness ahead.

Thanks for the update on this story. I've really been missing it.

HUGS ~ Cathy

I could imagine Brian's pain at DisneyLand: the crowd, the kids, the music, ... He should see the joy in the kids' eyes and how excited they are. I bet Justin will have to spend quality time with Brian, in order to lower his misery.

When I read Ben's idea of a great catch, it highlights that Michael is the anti of each person Ben is naming. Love makes us do weird things!

Yay!  They told off Mikey.  Now Jenny needs to learn that Ben will always be there for her even if he's not with Michael.

Michael is looking for scapegoats to blame for why he is being excluded and refuses to hear that His Actions, not Justin, Drew or even Blake's are to blame.

Holding out for Brian doesn't mean he is going to push Justin away, love doesn't work on fantasy land no matter how many stars you wish upon.

Ben has made a decision and Michael is the one who has to fight, saying I Love You is easy when the meaning isn't real, it's meaning I Love You that is harder.

Michael can hurt others without a care in the world because he is unhappy, he refuses to see past fourteen in the mirror and three in his mind.

Jenny avoiding Michael should break his heart because no child should despise their father, but she can't be the parent to her own father who would rather whine because no one is watching him 24/7, Ben is doing good by showing and letting Jenny know she isn't forgotten by her Papa.

Brian, Ted, Emmett and Deb talking to Michael and explaining why they don't want him around shows where their priorities lie and how Michael has to depend on himself, whether he listens is up to him but their words lifted the weight of Michael Novotny permanently off their shoulders.

Gus is a conscientious young man who doesn't want to see anyone hurt especially his sister, he is very much his Fathers Son:)

Thanks for the Update.

Thank you, thank you, for that showdown in the Diner. Some hard truths were said. But, isn't it just like Michael to say,“Did Drew and Justin make this decision?”  It's like he thinks Brian and Emmett can't think for themselves. I'm surprised Michael didn't include Blake in that sentence. I ALMOST have to hand it to Michael, for sitting through everything Emmett said, instead of getting up and leaving. Which would have fit with the Michael Novotny we all know. Run away from your problems, instead of facing them head on. The big question is, will he take to heart what he was told, or will he dismiss it, and continue to try and assert himself into their lives?

I can only imagine what kind if horror everyone will deal with, if Michael finds out the plans to go to Disney. Especially, since Ben will be going too. It's pretty pathetic when an eight year old doesn't even like, or want to be around their father. I can understand children feeling that way, if their parent is abusive, which Michael isn't. Although when I think about it, he is in his own way.

Are Deb and Carl going too? Michael won't try to follow them, will he? I can just see him showing up at Disneyland/Disneyworld, ignoring everything he was told.

I really felt bad for how deeply all ths affected Gus. He's way too young to have to feel this way. Although, I did get a chuckle when he referred to all of them as his posse.

Thank you for this wonderful update to this touching story.

Michael being Stupid, Mean and Vindictive? I Am Shocked!!!

He would rather avoid the issue and wait for everyone to fix it than lift a finger and do it himself.

It gets so boring watching a grown man act like a child while his children have to be the grown-ups.

I say leave Michael to fester in the sludge he created for himself and go to Disney with the kids and have a blast.

Glad that the kids ignored Michael's vindictive tantrum and decided food was more important than getting upset over Michael.

Mel told Michael off but did it finally penetrate through that thick skull?

Do you know how awesomely sweet that is that Brian and Billy had late night talks?

Sounds like Dumbass Novotny struck again. He sure can make a fool of himself. And what's this about him still having feelings for Brian? That is just all kinds of wrong. And it's utterly pathetic that the kids are all witness to his cruelty and foul moods. How long before Brian and Justin, and Emmett and Drew, quit allowing Michael into their homes? The trip to Disney sounds heavenly. Being away from Michael's hatefulness can only bring them happiness.  It would serve Michael right if after accusing Ben, and lying to Ben about the therapist, if Ben didn't come home. That way Michael truly would be alone when the rest are at Disney.

Looking forward to the next chapter of this wonderful story.

XOXO ~ Cathy

Impressive lash out from Michael: full of mean thoughts he couldn't keep for himself.

Impressive reply from Mel.

I hope the kids don't let what they heard change their mood.
