You just can't help yourself, can you Michael?  What's the old adage? "If Mikey ain't happy, no one's gonna be happy."  It's terrible that even a five year old can detect when someone's not happy. But in the logic that is bestowed on a kid who was thrown away, telling him to "find someone to love him", is all it takes to be happy. I wanted to kick Michael when he muttered, "Easier said than done." Ben loved him much more than he deserved. He could have had Jenny and Hunter's if he would have gotten his head out of his ass. So, why does he feel that way? And kudos goes to Brian for sharing that little tidbit of information; Michael wasn't his best friend, but Justin was. Then Michael saying the most idiotic thing that could come out of his mouth? What if Justin wanted to end the relationship? Come on Michael. Are you still living that dream that Justin is going to leave Brian, and Brian would want you?  *shudders*  Grow up, already. They've been together for the better part of eleven years, why Now would Justin want to walk away? Besides, Brian said it all... I'd fight for him. Get it through that thick skull of yours, Michael. BRIAN DOES NOT WANT YOU!  HE LOVES JUSTIN!  You know, I was going to say, "Go back to your husband, Michael", but I don't want Ben to have to deal with the ignoramus anymore.

Great chapter. I'm happy to know the most evrybody seems happy, and that Deb isn't coddling Michael.

Michael is still expecting the world and everyone to stop until his problems are fixed and he is happy, his selfish behavior is the reason why he is not content, plus he is as Lazy as Sin.

Michael would rather sit in the corner sulking instead of being happy for everyone else, he isn't a friend but he he a spoilt, self-absorbed whiny baby who really should've moved past the diaper stage by now <eye roll>

Carl, Emmett and Brian wasted their breath cause Michael refuses to change but does still expect Brian and everyone else to do all the heavy lifting while he goes off in search for the next Amazing Comic.

Ben and Michael can't fix anything miles apart of course do they really want to try it has that ship sailed already?

Max is so Adorable and now that it is official he one ecstatic little boy.

Colton calling Emmett Dad is very moving.

Max has a beautiful soul and wants everyone as happy as he is.

I loved Brian's speech and I hope it drills Micheal's brain.

Shame that Michael doesn't realize he's selfish.  Maybe Jenny could talk to him.  She seems to know what needs to be said. Brian tried, Emmett tried but I don't think Mikey listened.

Michael, as always, is self-centered and SELFISH! He just couldn't stand someone else's happiness not including him. The fact that Carl, Em, and Brian had to take time away from enjoying themselves to tend to a grown-ass crybaby, seriously overcooks my grits! Hopefully, he will actually listen to what was said, but ai doubt it.

Michael is too used to being the C.O.A. and receiving pats on the head, or an ear to whine in when things don't go his way. At 30+ years old, I doubt it's a habit he's willing to break because it would mean ditching those Captain Astro underoos and putting on his grown man drawers to make a solid decision and stick to it, instead of blaming others for his shortcomings. But, <deep sigh here>, I'm destined to be a fool living in hope that he will go design his life, while leaving the others to live theirs. Ah, we will see.

Looking forward to MORE!

Happy writing and HUGS,

~Nichelle

Great chapter.  Oh, that Mikey is just a miserable creature.  Can't like him no matter how hard I try.  Terrific writing.

Emmett and Justin gave Billy a glimpse into their lives which shows it wasn't perfect but it got Amazing later when they didn't give up and embraced that maybe Familial ties aren't enough, sometimes it takes the love of some people who accept you for who you are and not what they can take to make loving others such a Joy.

Billy is trying to overcome his fears but there will always be obstacles, with time, patience, understanding and love the fear will fade.

It is a Freaking Shame that at eight years old Jenny is more mature than Michael Will Ever Be.

He is so busy shouting that he is an adult that he is not being one.

Michael running home expecting everyone to put their lives on hold to coddle him is Beyond Absurd and won't happen!

Brian, Ted and Emmett don't have time or want to cater to Michael they have lives of their own and families of their own to think of.

Michael coming home is him avoiding responsibility again, perhaps Ben just got tired of his little gestures and decided to make a grand one himself.

If Michael and Ben are ending or taking some time then that is their mess to clean, Jenny can't stop worrying but she has to stop trying to find a way to fix.

It isn't her job to do what Michael refuses and be the Adult Jenny needs to worry about being a kid and leave Michael and Ben to figure out their own lives.

Poor Sweet Jenny she deserves a better Father than Michael :(

I was happy with the talk both Emmett and Justin had with Billy. That poor little boy is so mentally and emotionally screwed up. Damn Foster Parents!  But I have hope for him yet. The whole family has nothing but Love to give him.

Can I pretty please, wring Michael's neck when he gets back? What the hell happened between Ben and Michael that Michael's coming home? I thought they were on the road to repairing their relationship. After the events with Jenny at her house tonight, things aren't gonna be too peachy for Michael when he gets home. What's Michael now? 45? And Jenny's 8. How can someone 8 yrs old be smarter that a 45 yr old man? Christ he's 37 yrs older than her! He is so full of himself, and constantly thinking nobody can have a life without his input; it's just sickening. I'm pretty sure the temperature will drop by the time he gets to Pittsburgh, so he better prepare for a chilly reception. If I was Brian or Emmett, I wouldn't even allow him to come to my home. Give Michael a hint and a clue... Go Home Michael, Go Home! (or go where Ben is)  But for some reason I'm thinking Ben told him to go home. If I was Michael, I might really be worried about my marriage.

“I want Dad to see that living through Uncle Brian is the problem.”

“But shouldn’t he have done that by now? Grown up?”

Lord Have Mercy When Brian Gets Ahold Of Michael! Maybe Mel and Lindsay should think about fostering a girl. And PLEASE... Don't Let The State Be Fooled By Allowing Michael To Foster (Or Adopt!) And whose money is it in the savings? How much has Michael contributed over the years? I can't see a comic shop making tons of money.

Good Update. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Maybe Billy will see that what he is feeling is normal when you go through events disturbing trust. Justin and Emmett shared their own past with him, to show it can get better.

Max seems so happy in this family; he doesn't have many issues and goes with the flow as soon as he has cookies and cuddles from his fathers and everybody else who is willing to do so. Colton is on the same path.

Jenny is in a bad position as she's the only girl and her father is an ass. Maybe she could spend some time with Justin and Brian and see that they don't generate the same problems as Michael has.

Time for Michael to figure out his own life everyone else doesn't have time for him anymore.

Brian being jealous of Michael spending time with Justin totally relates to Michael spending time with Brian.

Michael was taking time away from each other and that caused problems, because he still expects everyone to stop and raise him while ignoring that there are children and partners who need them more.

Ben is tired of playing Dad while Michael runs off to play with his friends.

Brian, Justin, Emmett, Drew, Ted and Blake don't have time to play with Michael when he wants them too, they also don't have time for his endless temper tantrums.

They grew up and as usual he is way behind getting married didn't make Michael a grown up, neither did adopting Hunter.

Brian would rather chase after Max or Gus then run after Michael.

Life Moves On.

Will Michael?

Wow, great chapter.  Love the grown up Dad's that our guys have become.  They were great party boys, but wonderful fathers.

Of all the problems that could occur with kids,  Michael is the one who is causing them for Jen.  Nice that Brian cares and cute how he prefers his new son over Michael.  Poor Jenny.  Ben will always be there for her.

Great update. I really feel for Jenny. Michael's priorities in life have really screwed her up. It's good she finally told Brian. I think it helped for him to reassure her that that the family will always be there for her.

It was interesting to know that they dealt with the Michael issue in therapy. But how Brian was jealous of the time Michael and Justin spent together, kinda blows my mind. But totally understand Justin's view-point of Brian confiding everything to Michael.

Loved how Max running by screaming for "Dad", had Brian chasing after Max, leaving Michael to fend for himself.

I'm really impressed Ben wrote all that out for Michael. Because with Michael's thick skull, he needed to read it a half dozen times before it sunk in what Ben was saying. And yea, Michael only hears what he wants to hear, so wriing it down was a necessity.

I thought Michael was a piece of shit when he gave the reason he wanted to adopt.  “Plus think of all of us sitting around complaining together about what our children are doing to turn our hair gray. All of us celebrating together the way we used to party together. Don’t you miss those nights…”  That's not the reason you adopt, Michael. You adopt to give a forgotten child a home and love. You want to be a father? Quit neglecting Jenny and give her that father. Boy-oh-boy, Jenny would have a field day if Michael voiced he wanted to adopt! And what makes Michael think Justin would want to draw RAGE again? He just became a father. I really don't think he would take time away from his children to devote the time needed to draw all those panels. And I Absolutely LOVED when Ben laid it on the line about Michael only marrying him because Brian wouldn't give him what Michael wanted. About time somebody laid the facts out there for Michael to see.

Ahhh... Justin's getting a kitty. Did he ask Max what he wanted?

Wanting to adopt so he could have something in common with his friends shows how selfish Michael is thinking and how he doesn't care.

Ben writing that letter shows that unless Michael changes and grows up Once and For All that love Will Not Conquer This Time.

Michael getting advice from Justin instead of Brian is surprising cause this time he has to really work to keep Ben by his side, no one can fix this and they aren't going to it time for Michael to put Ben first and his need to be the center of attention last.

Everyone coming to help decorate Billy and Colton's room should be Hilarious.

Dear, Sweet Colton. Out of the mouth of babes. It's sad to realize that some foster homes are giving off the impression of three hots and a cot. They are issued a state check to take care of these kids, and it seems they want more to pocket the money than to actually give the kids a little something extra, in order to make up for what they are missing in life; a real family. At least Colton has something to bond with his Uncle Brian. *drum roll* - The dreaded roller coaster. And, ahh yes... Brian has a guilty pleasure. Justin should probably add three packages of Oreo's to the next shopping list. Two for the boy's to share, and one for Brian. It's kind of cute when you think about it.

It seems as if somebody has given Billy the impression it's not good to be smart. It was probably some biological kid where Billy was living, who was jealous of Billy's intelligence.  Maybe with Justin's help, he can change Billy's way of thinking.

If Mel detected some tension in Ben, I have to wonder if Michael is still whining about the unfairness of the situation Brian has apparently found himself in, against his will., of course. How long before they all come home? Or will Jenny be coming home before them?

Loved the update and I look forward to the chapter.
