Hi! I‘ve just started to read your story and I already love it so much! I really love your writing-style, it‘s fantastic, and the way you represent Brian and Justin and how you express Brian‘s thoughts. I love stories in which the writer visualizes the thoughts of them, so we readers not just see what is done or said, but also get a little of their inside. And I really love that you let Brian visit Justin in L.A. - that‘s what he should have done in the show... Oh, I especially love that it‘s soo obvious that Brian has it sooo badly for Justin. ;-) Oh, and I so love this sentence „one day we may even go to Thailand" - it just shows so nicely that this non-relationship is something very permanent for Brian in a very natural way. Maybe that wasn‘t what you had in mind and I read too much into it, but for me this sentence was somehow special. You let them be so happy together! Aweseome! Thanks for sharing this story!

You definitely didn't read too much into that line. In my 'verse Brian and Justin are a permanent thing and there's no drama around that. I love to imagine what types of conversations they had "off screen" during the show and I can't help but think they were much more "together" and both thought of a future in which they would be together more than was represented or that they let others know/believe.

Not a great reaction from Brian but I really believe he felt blindsided by what Justin said. I'm sure he was all geared up to try and say the right thing to soothe Justin's fears and then WHOA hold up it's me and Gus he's talking about! Pretty powerful stuff for both of them to cope with. Brian just took a page out of his Sunshine's book - if in doubt walk on out :-( Tough road ahead for our boys I'm thinking. This is such a good story and as someone living with a young son who suffers from depression and anxiety, I really can relate to all you have written so far, and appreciate the compassion you are showing.

Thank you for saying I'm treating these subjects with compassion. I work in the mental health field both as a clinician and as an educator working to reduce stigma around mental illness and seeking treatment so one of my hopes is that this fic serves to increase understanding about these illnesses.

I can see things playing out that way. I can also see Brian pushing Justin back to the west coast for school and more opportunities behind the scenes in the movies. Didn't happen, but could have.

Brian is working on not pushing Justin into doing what he thinks is best for Justin...but it's a hard habit to break!
