Yes Lindsay would try to say that Brian is her husband just to annul their marriage it is a stupid move it she has paperwork but it is the move they need to make Her suffer when this plan falls through.

By running to the press she sets herself up for failure and pulls Vance down too by association plus it also brings up her dubious past along with Vance.
