Exactly, Gus wouldn't automatically become a slave himself. Which in this case is good as nobody was even aware that his father/the sperm donor in question was a slave... Could you imagine living a normal life with your parents and then you find out that your sperm donor is/was a slave and become a slave yourself? The horror... I couldn't do that to Gus and everyone else involved. I am not that evil ;) So no, in my story he'll be safe!
