That was a great ending to the story, and I agree with Brian, that if Melanie continues the way she has been, he very well could be asking the judge to terminate her rights to Gus. I can't see her changing anything about herself to try and get along with Brian at all. That woman is too stuck in her ways to do that. And Michael, he just lost his best friend, because Brian won't have anything more to do with him at all. And it's his own fault, too.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for your review. I'm glad you enjoyed the story and the way the characters played out.

I read this a very long time ago on your other site. Loved it then, loved it now. I think I have read this at least ten times. It's the best kidnapping series I have ever read.
Starting with Kidnapped, I was so happy that it was because of Mel that little Gus was taken. The things she said to and about Brian were horrendous. That first day at the loft when Brian kicked them all out, had me hating all of them. Deb was as bad, if not worse, than the others. I was surprised by Emmett's and Ted's reactions, though. The trials and tribulations wondering about Gus, and how everyone seemed to just forget about him, focusing on JR, well, WOW!!!
Many months later in Custody. Thank heavens Deb gave a good review in court. Michael and Melanie, were total asswipes. I would love to see a sequel after the six months are up. Melanie's continued hatefulness, can only lead to her downfall, and I loved to see her parental rights terminated. Michael needs to have the people of the Avenue turn against him for not standing beside his best friend (Christ! I HATE that term.) and tell him to stay away, and not have anything to do with him. I certainly hope Brian severes all ties with him for etenity.
The excuses Melanie gave throughout this story, how she couldn't focus on Gus, couldn't go to Sicily, all of it, was bullshit! She had Michael and Debbie to take care of JR, if she really wanted Gus back. But because he was Brian's son, is why she didn't go. THAT"S why I say she should lose her rights to him as a mother,
AWESOME Story! Thank you for sharing.
HUGS ~Cathy
Author's Response: What a great review. I agree with you on almost every point. At this time there is no plan to have a further sequel.

Great story. Oh that Michael. He is the worst person followed by Melanie. They make a pair. Poor Jenny Rebecca getting genes from them LOL
Author's Response: lol Yes, JR doesn't have the best genetics.

The fight is not over: I don't see Mel going to let Brian "win".
Author's Response: I don't think she has any choice.

It's good that the judge could see the real Brian, Gus needs his father. He is not the one Michael and Melanie still want to see. The past is the past
Author's Response: That's exactly right. Mel and Michael still think he's the old Brian.

I love the judges decision. Wouldn't it have been better to tell the judge that Melanie didn't require Michael to sign away his rights. Very hypacritical of her.
Author's Response: It always works out in my stories. lol
