It's nice to see Brian turning to Ted. Ted has been there and can help avoid pittfalls. I wonder if Emmett could help? I think he'd be sympathetic.

This is going to be an interesting story to write as the characters that are not typically written will be dominant in the story.

I didn't think Brian will last with Ted and Blake for so long; he must realize that he can't deal with this alone, but he can't let go of his "I don't need anybody, I'm fine" routine.
Did he go to his loft directly after the dinner?

Brian is stubborn. I agree that he will eventually have to tell "the family" but this is very new to him. He is still so unsure about what they will say and how they will react. The second question will be answered in the next chapter.
