Great to see Brian touching on the whole mindfulness topic and living in the moment. Excellent advice. TAG

Author's Response:

WE all should live in the moment-  I think it would make life better.

Brian's talk with Deb went well.  Miss my Gus fix.  I think now that Deb, Emmett, Ted and Blake know that Brian isn't abandoning Gus like the girls insinuate, Brian won't be blamed and the girls won't be believed.

Author's Response:

Debbie will probably stick up for Brian since she knows he won't lie to her.  Gus will be back, I'm sure.

First of all, thank you for uploading the previous chapter once more; I could read it.

Secondly, the end had me fearing Deb's reaction because after the dinner, it could have changed her feelings towards Brian. The girls being cowards and not honest at all regarding Brian, it was obvious that they will charge him.

At first, I was surprised that Ted didn't say a word, but then, he knows that Brian wouldn't have liked it. But, Gus did and everybody knows that kids react in such situation, they don't act and lie. I'm surprised that he didn't mention Justin; that would have given a wrong cause to their meeting and Lindsay would have charged Brian with one more endangerment.

I liked the way Debbie looked at Brian and saw how healthy he was.

I think Melanie is still played by Lindsay and, as she can't help herself hating Brian, she won't search for the truth.

As for Justin and Brian relationship, it's still building, but there already are some "standards" in place: escape for better coffee, hugs, information given without incitation. Brian is definitely opening up.

I now fear for the next time Brian will try to get Gus from school; the girls won't let him trick them a second time.

Author's Response:

I think the issue with the last chapter was website error but I'm glad you got to read it.  Ted is very protective of Brian and he knows all about everything that is going on behind the scenes.  He might not want to talk for fear of saying things that Brian doesn't want made public.  He also doesn't feel like he has to protect Brian as Brian can protect himself, ( ie going to pick up Gus rather than let the restraining order interfere with the pickup).  Brian will have to address picking up Gus again as Lindsay won't be fooled again.
