I knew their bickering was going to attract unwanted attention, but I didn’t think it would be Salvatore and Ben.

You would think that would have made Brian happy. I’m not so  sure why he felt so gutted.

HUGS,

Cathy

Author's Response:

Salvatore has very little patience for mistakes, especially from his own son who has been trained not to make a scene in public.

In time, I'm sure Brian will be ecstatic about the shock he received. At that moment he just feels betrayed. He has admired Salvatore from the moment they met, and he became his mentor. I think he sees all of the moments and opportunities Salvatore could have told him the truth, and the time they lost as father and son. What a powerful duo for sure. In time I'm sure he'll come around.

Uh oh, not a happy ending! Brian is very sensitive regarding this kind of deception.

Author's Response:

Yes, for sure. Brian isn't good with deception, and this is a bad one; although, hopefully, one that works out for everyone.
